ALL schools—public, charter, private, parochial, and homeschool—are invited to sign up by Thursday, October 31, for a chance to have your student be this year’s champion. Enrollments submitted after the October 31 deadline will NOT be accepted. Please note the extended deadline on the Scripps website does not apply to New York City schools. During enrollment, schools will be asked to identify a spelling bee coordinator. In addition to other tasks that will be communicated after enrollment, spelling bee coordinators will receive access to www.spellingbee.com which will provide schools with resources for their spelling bee program. Only students in grades 4-8 are eligible to participate in the New York City Spelling Bee, and ALL schools must complete their school's spelling bee by Wednesday, November 27. For more information, visit www.spellingbee.com.
