QNAP x Platform9
Easily Deploy a Hybrid Cloud with OpenStack
Platform9 is a cloud-based OpenStack management platform. While a pure OpenStack environment may take weeks to deploy properly, Platform9 can take merely a few minutes to deploy. Now the integration of Platform9’s Managed OpenStack solution and QNAP’s powerful storage solution enables OpenStack to use QNAP NAS as compact, highly-reliable on-site data storage.
Streamline development and accelerate your services
QNAP and Platform9 have joined forces to provide a powerful storage solution that is easy to deploy and easy to use for your OpenStack environment. With this hybrid OpenStack environment, compute nodes, storage nodes and networking are located within your company, and the management part (provided by Platform9) is accessible from the cloud, assisting in simplifying maintaining OpenStack, so you can focus on your core business.
Use QNAP NAS for your OpenStack storage
The QNAP Cinder driver (which is fully integrated in Platform9) allows QNAP NAS integration in OpenStack environments. It can be added to the Cinder Node and allows block devices creation on QNAP NAS. After enabling the QNAP Cinder driver on an OpenStack Cinder Node, the Compute Node can utilize the space on QNAP’s Enterprise ZFS NAS (an enterprise-grade storage providing active-active High Availability, snapshots, data deduplication and compression) as well as on QNAP’s business-class NAS series for affordable storage solutions.
