In October last year I posted a comment on the “marked increase in vacancies being received on interim roles”. I want to expand on the previous post and reach out to my client contacts, whom I’ve sourced candidates for in response to their insurance and risk roles-(insurable risk or broader risk management/ERM positions). Hiring a temporary worker can vary be it, on a daily rate or FTCs spanning 6 to 12 months (in some instances it can be longer than 12 months)”. There is also an increasing demand for part time resource, typically 3 or 4 days a week. These arrangements bring with it increased flexibility on both sides- clients and candidates. Ultimately, the intent is solving a need, which can be both planned, but sometimes, arising from an unexpected event, necessitating a quick fix, with the preference for a candidate who is immediately available. I would like to alert my clients to the availability of well qualified individuals who wish to be considered for “in house” roles, offering this type of heightened flexibility. Over the last few months I have been concentrating on increasing the numbers in this particular talent pool. I am confident that candidates can be identified to fill temporary vacancies, from junior roles to senior ones which may require a strategic input, possibly focussing on the renewal of a complex insurance programme. Please feel able to contact me if you wish to discuss any requirements for hiring on an interim/temporary basis. 📧 [email protected] 📞 020 7481 8111

Curious about the latest trends that are shaping the Insurance Industry? James Toth, COLLAR®’s director of Insurance, has some interesting insights to share about the latest trends that are shaping the insurance industry: “The outlook for talent acquisition in insurance is bright. For the first time in a few years, we’re seeing our clients find more success through direct hiring strategies, reserving roles for agency recruitment at the more senior or technical level which is an overall net positive. After 3-5 years of insurance companies and broking houses confronting the realities of a lack of EVP (Employee Value Proposition), we’re seeing a more pointed, employee first approach to internal recruitment advertising that is offering companies the opportunity to speak directly to the market in a far more compelling way. For us, we want to be the agency our client's partner with for that one role that is just so damn difficult to hire, not the role where the advert they wrote just wasn’t good enough, so it’s exciting to hopefully see some balance of value exchange return to the industry.” #recruitment #insurance #insights #collargroup #insurancejobs
