Safari means ‘journey’ in Swahili and it was in Kenya that the concept originated. Kenya is renowned for its wide-open spaces and golden beaches, but it is best known for some of the most dramatic wildlife viewing in Africa, including the annual great migration of two million wildebeest into the Masai Mara, rumoured to be visible from space.
