On a tailor-made itinerary to Kenya, make the most of the plethora of wildlife watching destinations and range of dramatic landscapes this country has to offer. Journey to the slopes of Mount Kenya National Park, one of the world’s highest national parks, for remarkable views of the mountain range.
Then, travel to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, home to the largest population of the critically endangered black rhinos in East Africa. The park also hosts the rest of the famed ‘Big Five’. Take a scenic drive towards the Great Rift Valley and admire the flamboyance of lesser flamingos of Lake Elmenteita. You can also stay at the Oserengoni Wildlife Sanctuary and take a boat trip around Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake 1,890 metres above sea level, to search for hippos and other exciting species, or alternatively tackle the shores of the lake by bicycle.
The Masai Mara is most certainly a highlight of any trip to Kenya. Between July and October, witness the greatest annual wildebeest migration or take to the skies in a hot-air balloon and float above the teeming grasslands.
