Platelet factor 4Platelet factor 4 (PF4) is a small cytokine belonging to the CXC chemokine family that is also known as chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 4 (CXCL4) . This chemokine is released from alpha-granules of activated platelets during platelet aggregation, and promotes blood coagulation by moderating the effects of heparin-like molecules.이러한 역할들로 인해 상처 치료와 염증 치료에도 역할을 할 것으로 예상된다.[5]그것은 보통 프로토글리칸이 있는 콤플렉스에서 발견된다.

함수

PF4는 중성미자, 섬유블라스트, 단세포에 대해 화학적이며, CXCR3-B로 알려진 케모카인 수용체 CXCR3의 스플라이스 변종과 상호작용한다.[8]
임상적 유의성
헤파린:PF4 콤플렉스는 헤파린 유도 혈소판감소증 내 항원으로, 항응고제 헤파린 투여에 대한 특이적 자가면역반응이다.[9]또한 PF4 자동항암제는 혈전증 환자에서 발견되었으며, HIT와 유사한 특징을 가지고 있으나 헤파린을 투여하지 않은 환자에서도 발견되었다.[10]PF4에 대한 항체는 옥스포드-아스트라제네카 또는 얀센 COVID-19 백신 접종에 따른 혈전증 및 혈전소판감소증의 경우에 관련되어 있다.[11][12]이 현상은 백신으로 인한 면역 혈전혈소판감소증(VITT)이라고 불린다.[13]PF4의 표현방식의 변화는 긴 COVID의 증상과도 관련이 있다.[14]
전신 경화증 환자에서 증가하여 또한 간성 폐질환이 있다.[15]
인간 혈소판 인자 4는 기생충의 소화액 vacuole을 선택적으로 침으로써 적혈구 내 말라리아 기생충을 죽인다.[16]
