Koh Kood in Trat province is Thailand’s most easterly island, located close to Cambodia. It is an idyllic tropical island with little infrastructure, unlike nearby Koh Chang. Koh Kood is home to rainforest, coconut and rubber plantations, sleepy fishing villages, and fewer than 2,000 people. It has many beautiful beaches and is an ideal place to get away from the crowds. It can be reached from Bangkok by road in 4 hours or by air in 1 hour into Trat, followed by a 1-hour boat journey.
