Two qualifiers are held for the event with open registration for 512 players for qualifier 1 and qualifier 2. 4 players will qualify from each qualifier to participate in the main event.

- Rounds 3, 4 & 5 (round of 128, 64 and 32) is Bo3 with the draft noted below
- Round 6 (round of 16) is Bo5 with the draft noted below
- Round 7 (round of 8) is Bo7 with the draft noted below

Players each globally ban one civ simultaneously
Players then alternate picking civs in the order of A, B, B, A, A etc. until 4 civs for Bo3, 6 civs for Bo5, or 8 for Bo7
Players may not use a civ that they have drafted more than once
