Eredo-Iya is a community made random map in Age of Empires II created by Marintho.

Overview[edit]

Southern Nigeria is home to two systems of unique fortification systems hundreds of kilometers long that consisted of a combination of earthworks, ditches and (wooden) defensive structures. One of these was the Eredo-system of the Sungbo kingdom, built between c. 800-1000. The other is the Iya-system of the Benin Kingdom, built between the 9th and 15th centuries. On this map, players start in a small Socotra-style map. They are protected by palisade walls. Players can capture neutral houses, farms and mills to boost their build. The map has no stone.
