Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Entra ID
Key things we use Microsoft Entra ID is to centralise and simplify our user experience and making there lives easier so they can focus on the roles. By using features like Single Sign On and Muli-Factor Authentication it increases the security by making it harder for individuals of accessing our users accounts. Entra ID also helps make us compliant with IT industry standards and it is slowly progressing into a great product. With the use case of Entra ID and Intune it helps us create a zero touch environment.

- For new busniness's would be nice to have a pre-configured environment which you can select your needs and Entra ID will configure a majorty of the settings for you.
- Stream line configuration less going to 5 different locations just to setup a single thing.
- Documentation for Intra and other products be done as guides for specific use cases.

We have identites in the cloud, as this save us costs of self hosting and managing on-prem locally.
Everything is managed in the cloud with ease of access and keeping our IT systems modern so we don't have to worry about falling behind in the times and it also helps check another box for making our systems more secure since there is no physical access.

As a requirement when purchasing software we use it requires us to make sure that all software and services can use SSO. If the software does not have SSO and Entra ID intergration we simply do not use it and look at alterntives.
We only use cloud based systems, Mainly Microsft products and Atlassian.
Being able to access everything from a single place has proved quite usefull and saves a lot of time. Being able to use SSO to log into multiple applications has saved time and kept things more secure. Also the concistancy for users being able to work on microsoft products from any device with there almost real time sync has been great for our users.
Okta has no chance to compete with Microsoft Entra ID's features. Also the usability of microsoft products and user management is easier when you have one product that does almost everything.

Using Microsoft Entra ID
Our user base mainly uses Entra ID for Microsoft 365 applications for day-to-day office work, as well as Microsoft Teams for communication and meetings. Everything we use is integrated with Single Sign-On and protected with Multi-Factor Authentication, ensuring secure and seamless access to our enterprise resources and applications.
1 - I am the sole support for our Entra ID on a day-to-day basis. The key skills for supporting Entra ID include identifying important information in the documentation and keeping up to date with Microsoft's improvement updates. It is also important to have a keen eye for troubleshooting and be able to identify problems when setting up features built into Entra ID.

The primary reason for our decision to purchase Microsoft Entra ID is to enhance our system security and safeguard against malicious entities. Additionally, the Single Sign-On capability streamlines access to various platforms, reducing password fatigue and minimizing the risk associated with multiple passwords.
When evaluating costs, we prioritize whether the features offered justify the investment. If there are alternative systems that provide similar functionality to Microsoft Entra ID but with less complexity and confusion during implementation, we would likely lean towards those options, particularly if they are more cost-effective. This approach minimizes the time spent reviewing documentation and streamlines the implementation process, acknowledging that Microsoft documentation can sometimes be challenging to navigate.

The product is not easy to learn because the documentation can be a bit confusing and there is no clear path when your trying to configure and implent stuff.
