The Kardashians renewed for 20 more episodes on Hulu... just one day after the Season 5 finale

Hulu has issued a new 20-episode renewal for their reality series The Kardashians, just hours after the Season 5 finale

The streaming service first ordered the show back in December 2020, with the Kardashian-Jenner family inking a massive deal rumored to be worth upwards of $100 million.

That first deal was for 30 episodes, which have been parsed out into three 10-episode seasons.

Back in May 2023, just before the third season, Hulu issued another 20-episode order which became the fourth and fifth seasons.

While Hulu hasn't confirmed how the episodes will be divided up, it seems likely, given the history of the show, that the new order will be for two new seasons.

Hulu has not issued any viewership data for The Kardashians, though they did say that the May 23 Season 5 premiere was the most-watched unscripted premiere of 2024 on both Hulu in the U.S. and Disney Plus and Star Plus in foreign markets.

Danielle King serves as the showrunner of The Kardashians and executive produces with Fulwell 73's Ben Winston, Emma Conway and Elizabeth Jones.

All six of the main stars - Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner and matriarch Kris Jenner - also serve as executive producers.

The original deal that they all signed with Hulu not only made them all executive producers, but also gave all six equal pay.

It's unclear if production has already begun, though the last season was filmed in late 2023 and early 2024.

The family first hit the airwaves back in 2007 with the E! series Keeping Up With the Kardashians, which debuted on the heels of Kim's infamous sex tape with Ray J.

The show was developed by Ryan Seacrest, who brought it to E!, which first announced the show in August 2007.

The first season of KUWTK debuted in October 2007, which would start a 20-season run that would span 14 years.

KUWTK came to an end in June 2021, and just six months later, the family announced their deal with Hulu.

The series premiere in April 2022 was the most-watched premiere in Hulu history, with Season 2 debuting just months later in September 2022.

Season 3 debuted in May 2023, with the show getting a 20-episode renewal just before it, with Season 4 arriving in late September 2023.

The family also released the Kourtney Kardashian wedding special - 'Till Death Do Us Part - in April 2023.
