Protein phosphatase Slingshot homolog 2 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the SSH2 gene. [5] [6] [7]
The ADF (actin-depolymerizing factor)/cofilin family (see MIM 601442) is composed of stimulus-responsive mediators of actin dynamics. ADF/cofilin proteins are inactivated by kinases such as LIM domain kinase-1 (LIMK1; MIM 601329). The SSH family appears to play a role in actin dynamics by reactivating ADF/cofilin proteins in vivo (Niwa et al., 2002).[supplied by OMIM] [7]
ADF/cofilin is a family of actin-binding proteins associated with the rapid depolymerization of actin microfilaments that give actin its characteristic dynamic instability. This dynamic instability is central to actin's role in muscle contraction, cell motility and transcription regulation.
Cofilin 1 , also known as CFL1, is a human gene, part of the ADF/cofilin family.
M-phase inducer phosphatase 2 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the CDC25B gene.
LIM domain kinase 1 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the LIMK1 gene.
Alpha-actinin-4 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ACTN4 gene.
LIM domain kinase 2 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the LIMK2 gene.
Protein phosphatase 1A is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the PPM1A gene.
For the SSH-1 protocol, see Secure Shell#Version 1
Cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor 3 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the CDKN3 gene.
Dual specificity protein phosphatase CDC14A is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the CDC14A gene.
Tyrosine-protein phosphatase non-receptor type 18 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the PTPN18 gene.
Dual specificity protein phosphatase 10 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the DUSP10 gene.
Dual specificity protein phosphatase 7 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the DUSP7 gene.
Dual specificity protein phosphatase 16 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the DUSP16 gene.
Tensin-like C1 domain-containing phosphatase is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the TENC1 gene.
Protein phosphatase Slingshot homolog 3 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the SSH3 gene.
Twinfilin-1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the TWF1 gene. This gene encodes twinfilin, an actin monomer-binding protein conserved from yeast to mammals. Studies of the mouse counterpart suggest that this protein may be an actin monomer-binding protein, and its localization to cortical G-actin-rich structures may be regulated by the small GTPase RAC1.
Dual specificity protein phosphatase 12 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the DUSP12 gene.
Cofilin 2 (muscle) also known as CFL2 is a protein which in humans is encoded by the CFL2 gene.
Dual-specificity phosphatase is a form of phosphatase that can act upon tyrosine or serine/threonine residues.
