Easier for us compare vendor pricing to make sure we are getting the best pricing and increasing profit margins. Also makes it easier to track shipping charges to different states at specific times of the year. Sending purchase orders is now much faster due to the integration that were offered.

Red Falcon ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) from ECI offers a solution designed specifically for the needs of dealers. It is a customizable ERP and ecommerce software that works with QuickBooks® accounting software that is used to automate business processes, and encourage online purchasing to build a brand.

We used the product to set up landing pages for our customers to order IT related products like servers, laptops, and keyboards. We work with over 300 clients, so it can be difficult to keep track of invoicing for all of them. Red Falcon helps with invoicing and also sending order forms to our Wholesale partners when clients request new computers and hardware.
Pros and Cons
  • There is good training and support to help learn the product
  • Makes it easy for staff to manage inventory and see what we have in stock for hardware and computers.
  • Integrates with many of the Wholesalers we use right out of the box.
Likelihood to Recommend
If you run a small to medium sized business and need a way to track inventory and wholesale orders, Red Falcon is great. It is easy for the guys in the warehouse to use and keep all of our categories updated so we can make sure the website is always accurate. The website also integrates well with actual inventory so customers never feel like the product is late in shipping.

It does a great job pushing orders into e-automate, including creating the items, POs, and order in e-auto. On a whole, Red Falcon has many options available for customization to a end customer. More integration options with e-auto would be great.

  • Red Falcon's integration with e-auto is a tremendous time and money saver on the admin side of things!
  • The overall cost of Red Falcon is a bit pricey so the ROI really depends on how much e-commerce business that can be ran thru it.

  • Being able to see orders flagged with low GP before processing has helped us avoid taking a loss on an item or order by catching it ahead of time.
Supplier Integrations
We only transmit to two suppliers and do not use the purchase order option in the system. We don't charge freight or import wholesaler invoicing.
Quickbooks Integration
I am not in accounting, but from what I can tell, the integration seems to be smooth, and we actually use QB to send out invoices instead of from Red Falcon.
Ecommerce
We just added the EvoX website to Red Falcon, and it has allowed us to promote the items we want to sell more of and to better the customer shopping experience. I believe order sizes will increase moving forward.
Alternatives Considered
If this is the Phoenix system I had used in the past, Red Falcon is much more up-to-date and streamlined.

Pros and Cons
  • It has very simple tools.
  • If you need a basic web store and don't need punchouts they manage that.
Likelihood to Recommend
I don't have the financials to compare on this, so I'm not sure if the cost would be good, but if you run a simple business that doesn't work much with schools and government, you should be fine. However, in my opinion, if you need a lot of punchouts, stay away from them; I think they will bleed you dry.

No. It's why we switched away from Red Falcon.
Quickbooks Integration
It was decent. I did not personally deal with QuickBooks in my daily life. It was simple and used the desktop version of QuickBooks. That's about all I know.
