Are there any companies that formally keep in touch with their ex-employees? The ones that gave years of quality service. Like most schools and sports clubs do. Are there any companies that have regular 'Back To's', or a type of 'Old Boys/Girls Club', or even provide some sort of 'Emeritus' role like Academia does? • Wesley College keeps sending me updates on what notable ex-students are doing now 😊, as well as an 𝘐𝘯 𝘔𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘶𝘮 section. 😢 • My Sydney Swans footy club has an internal career path for the right ex-players, as well as regular ex-Player events. I don't know of any companies that do something similar. Sometimes there are pockets of ex-workers that may unofficially catch up, but the company doesn't organise them. Some companies I've worked in, I've seen the opposite. One MD wouldn't let leaving employees farewell the business, no matter how long or effective their contribution may have been. For companies that have been around a while, I'd like to know if there is an opportunity to add to the culture by establishing an ex-employee guild of some sort. I'd be interested to hear if anyone has seen something like that in place. #oldboysclub #oldgirlsclub #exemployee

Last night’s match wasn’t England’s finest hour (well... 93 minutes), and the chilly reception from supporters and media didn’t help. 🙈 But it's in these moments that the true spirit of support is needed most. In sports, as in the workplace, the power of encouragement can ignite a 🔥 within a team to strive for greatness. Imagine a workplace where: ◽ Every misstep is met with encouragement ◽ Every effort is recognised and celebrated ◽ Every team member feels the collective confidence in their potential That's where magic happens. That’s how we turn setbacks into victories. ✨🙌 Let’s channel that same unwavering support into our daily grind. Let’s foster an environment where empowerment and enthusiasm aren’t just words, but the essence of our culture. ⚡ This is one of the many reasons I enjoy working at Reed and working with my team at the Enfield branch 🤩 We look out for one another - supporting, celebrating and empowering. 👊 #Empowerment #TeamSpirit #Motivation #Resilience

🧙♂️✨ Yesterday, I was at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour in Watford with my Wife for her birthday, then spent a wonderful night at the Shendish Manor Hotel & Golf Club. Seeing the magic behind the films got me thinking about how much the world of Harry Potter has in common with the world of business. In business, much like in Hogwarts, we face challenges that require courage, creativity, and collaboration. Here are some lessons from the wizarding world that we can all apply to our professional lives: 🦉 𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 Just like Harry, Hermione, and Ron each brought their unique strengths to the table, we must recognise and leverage our individual skills. Celebrate what makes you unique, and use it to propel your team forward. 🧹 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐎𝐛𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 Whether it's defeating a troll in the dungeon or navigating a tricky market landscape, perseverance is key. Challenges are opportunities in disguise. Face them head-on with determination and innovation. 🏰 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 The friendships and alliances formed at Hogwarts were crucial to overcoming dark forces. In business, building strong networks and fostering genuine relationships can open doors and create powerful synergies. 📚 𝐀𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐁𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 Hogwarts is a place of continuous learning and growth. In our careers, we should always seek new knowledge and skills. Stay curious, keep learning, and adapt to the ever-changing business environment. ✨ 𝐁𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐜 Magic in the wizarding world is about believing in the impossible and making it happen. In business, this translates to vision and innovation. Dream big, believe in your ideas, and don't be afraid to disrupt the status quo. As I wandered through the sets and props that brought the magic to life, I was reminded that our dreams and ambitions can also become reality with the right mindset and effort. So, let's channel our inner wizards, wield our wands of creativity, and cast spells of success in our professional journeys. 🪄 We've got this! 💪 #HarryPotter #Inspiration #BusinessLessons #Leadership #Innovation #Watford

When team-building in small groups, it's crucial that each team member find a role. In our adventure races, one of those roles is very often the Navigator. Nothing can break down team cohesion quite as quickly as arguing over directions, so your staff need the best tools possible to maintain momentum. Our races utilize custom, hand-aged maps to guide players around the streets of a historic downtown, a vast mansion, or a gallery-laden museum, and these make for excellent tools for the Navigator on the team. #navigatewithconfidence #teambuilding #adventureawaits

Racing at the F1 Arcade was a great opportunity to break out of the norm and try something new! Our UK Team let off some steam from the busy work week and engaged over light-hearted competition. But there’s more to it than just fun… Time is our most valuable resource and the time we spend with our colleagues outside of the office must be purposeful. Why would you spend more time at work when you could be at home with your family, your dog, or your plants? The way we interact and engage in the workplace has changed over the last few years. When researching activities for our team, I ask: What is the purpose? What are the main takeaways from the experience? For the F1 Arcade, the purpose was to get people out of their comfort zones and try something new. To engage with one another differently from the onslaught of Zoom and Slack. To talk about something other than work. The main takeaway was getting to know your colleagues on a more personal level. To share a common, unique experience to carry with us as a team. And yes, it is always an Employee Experience Manager’s hope that the team had some genuine fun 😊 WalkMe™

Sales Account Manager -Sports & Hospitality Entertainment - Topgolf Cleveland - Easy Planning in the Greater Cleveland Area.
I came across a great article from LetsRoam.com and how they have 14 amazing statistics proving that Team Building is an essential part of Developing a Positive Company Culture. The blog breaks down various ways to engage your team/company. Outings can even benefit your current clients, vendors, new prospects & partnerships. A few stats I loved and took away from this were: 1. Different Activities can teach Employees/People New Skills 2. Prompt Communication with casual Interaction & Old-Fashioned Fun. 3. Productivity is Increased 4. Team Bondings are essential to the bottom line. That was only a few. Check out the rest of the link below for the full blog. https://lnkd.in/eWVD2k54 I am a firm believer in; you invest in your team/piers you will receive the best results. Step away from the office for a few hours, shut it down early to get the most engagement. Rather you are celebrating a win, or you need to boost the morale up. Topgolf understands this element and so do I. Book your next outing with us, I promise we will be the talk of the office. #culturematters #teambuilding #activities #companyculture #morale #topgolf #northeastohio #cleveland #summerevents #fallevents #mentalhealth #teamoutings
