🛰 Every year, the market for building satellites grows bigger and bigger, and more and more companies emerge to serve it. According to market analysis, the total number of satellites released on the market, weighing from 50-250 kg to more than 1,000 in 2022 was 2,149. In 2023, their number jumped to 2,535. Next year, there are forecasted to be 2,822 satellites, with almost 3,200 by 2030. It is clear that with these growth rates for the development and production of satellites, the market for thrusters will also grow. There are currently relatively few companies in the world that are able to offer technology similar to ours, numbering no more than 30. Our key advantage over these competitors is that our thrusters have been tested in orbit in a satellite mission. Our SPS-25 Propulsion System is currently operating in orbit aboard the EOS SAT-1 satellite. The satellite’s ground team has confirmed the propulsion system’s successful operation. Our success in orbit makes us confident in our ability to offer both ready-made solutions and bespoke propulsion systems tailored to the specific needs of our customers. #SETSspace #ElectricPropulsion #Space #Earth #EarthObservation #Sattelites

❌ We can no longer just launch satellites… ❌ Did you know that the operational lifespan of satellites is often limited by their fuel supply? Two viable solutions to this problem are ⛽ refueling and 🚀 retrofitting. ⛽ With growing opportunities in space, no doubt that in-space refueling will gain popularity. Good thing we thought about that and chose propellants that are pressure liquified – so there’s no need for any additional pumps to get our GATE Jetpack going again. 🚀 Retrofitting propulsion systems to existing spacecraft in orbit, significantly extends their operational lifespan. The good news? You can do this with our GATE Jetpack too. The benefit? In-space mobility solutions like the GATE Jetpack can: 💸 Maximize satellite revenue; 🛰️ Prolong satellites’ operational lifetime; ☄ Enable satellites to maneuver and avoid collisions; 🌐 Ensure safe de-orbiting for satellites at the end of their mission. The time to simply launch satellites is over. We need sustainable solutions that prolong their operational lifetime and adapt to evolving needs in space. Are you with us on this journey? #satellites #space #newspace #GATEJetpack #innovation

WISDOM - Wise Integration of Satellites PNT tracking Data using OWL for collision avoidance Management WISDOM is providing the necessary technologies for collision avoidance, including positioning, tracking, inter-satellite communication, and autonomous decision-making capabilities in the absence of human intervention. The collaboration involves C3S LLC, a CubeSat platform provider, and Aurora Propulsion Technologies Oy, specializing in thrusters and plasma brakes for deorbiting. The Plasma Brake system, adapted for CubeSats, is currently at TRL5, targeting spacecraft in the 2 kg - 1000 kg range. The project will demonstrate it in orbit with a 6U satellite that separates into two 3U CubeSats, each platform equipped with GNSS, to showcase inter-satellite data exchange's usefulness in different collision avoidance scenarios. By empowering satellites to manage their collision avoidance proactively, WISDOM aims to enhance space traffic management and mitigate the risks associated with the growing number of orbiting objects. "This is an exciting mission and features many novel aspects to the CubeSat industry. We're especially happy to collaborate on such an advanced mission promoting the sustainable use of space" says Aurora CEO Perttu Yli-Opas. ”We are pleased to have found a partner for the mission who actively supports us in exploring and testing critical manoeuvring capabilities in the project. We are looking forward to our collaboration with Aurora!” says C3S CEO Gyula Horváth. After nearly six months of collaborative efforts between the two companies, this extremely complex project has successfully reached the Critical Design Review (CDR) milestone. At this stage, we have completed the detailed design of the two 3U CubeSats, developed the collision avoidance mechanism protocol, finalized the design for inter-satellite communication, and demonstrated the separation of the two 3U satellites under laboratory conditions. The project entered a new phase at the beginning of September, when manufacturing is set to begin. During the project, the consortium plans to demonstrate in a safe manner several possible use cases and avoidance solutions that may occur during the lifetime of a satellite. The product will allow several satellite manufacturers in the future to plan a safer mission with an easy-to-integrate subsystem and service with a proven heritage. WISDOM, which is a part of the #ESANAVISP program, is scheduled for launch in October 2025 when space experiments will begin on board the 2 satellites. #WISDOM #satellite #spaceexperiment #cubesat #esa

Terran Orbital Corporation (NYSE:LLAP) announced that it is entering the small satellite geosynchronous orbit (GEO) market with its SmallSat GEO solution for satellites more than 500kg. The company said the SmallSat GEO is targeting the communications market, able to operate in geosynchronous orbit and provide higher power and performance than may have been needed in low earth orbit (LEO). It noted that the geosynchronous market is shifting to small satellites with more and more GEO spacecraft ordered in the small size class, which have shorter lead times when compared with traditional options. #NYSE #LLAP More at #Proactive #ProactiveInvestors http://ow.ly/j1Mz105lXnJ

🌠 Today, we want to take the chance to introduce those who are just becoming acquainted with our #SETSproducts to the benefits of electric propulsion for satellites. 🔹 Electric propulsion thrusters are much more energy efficient compared to chemical thrusters.. Chemical-fuelled, while providing spacecraft with great thrust, consume a great amount of resources. This affects both the operational capacity and the maintenance costs of the satellites that use them. 🔹 Spacecraft with electric thrusters are far lighter, freeing up space which would have been taken up by fuel and thrusters to be used for payloads. Thus, a spacecraft equipped with an electric propulsion system traveling to Mars would be able to reach its destination with about 70% of its initial launch mass. A chemically-fuelled rocket ship, however, would only be able to reach Mars with a few percent of its mass at launch. For example, consider our SPS-25 thruster, which was installed on the EOS SAT-1 satellite of the EOS DATA ANALYTICS. It is capable of generating thrust of 5 to 11 mN, which ensures a satellite service life of up to 7 years! 🤩 In addition, the SPS-25 thruster weighs only 6 kg, which makes it possible to allocate a much greater share of the satellite’s mass to spectral sensors and ultra-sensitive optics to enable satellites of the EOS SAT constellation to take high-resolution images (up to 1.4 pixels/m).
