Last week we made three major deliveries to the Augusta area (Jefferson, Columbia, and Richmond counties), dropping off 42,000 diapers to families in need. The first load of many is officially on its way to help those impacted by Hurricane Helene! Our box truck filled with diapers headed off to 3 locations in the Augusta area! Tomorrow our van will be heading off to Clinch Memorial Hospital in Homerville, GA and we have 12 more drop off locations already slotted for next week. There are so many communities in Southern Georgia have been affected by Hurricane Helene that still need our help. Wellroot’s second annual Milestones luncheon celebrated our first Healthy Families program graduates. Our dedicated Family Support Specialists, together with community partners Helping Mamas, Inc., Jambos Donates, Bump to Baby photography, and a warm welcome from hosts Duluth First United Methodist Church, showered parents and their babies with love and support. We commemorated the incredible journeys of new moms who have overcome significant challenges with baby shower-inspired activities, heartfelt speeches, special gifts, and the opportunity to fellowship with other program participants.
