Maguire Subaru of Ithaca recently donated blankets to the Cayuga Medical Center Foundation for patients undergoing cancer treatments. The donation is part of a partnership between Subaru and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) as part of the Subaru Loves to Care Event. Since 2016, LLS and Subaru have supported cancer patients and their families with free resources such as blankets. Blankets not only provide emotional comfort for patients undergoing treatment, but also can manage physical effects as well. Often, chemotherapy can cause side effects that make patients feel cold. The cancer care kits, provided by the CMC Foundation, will also include self-care items not covered by insurance, such as soap, moisturizer, lip balm, and lotion.
