This was a fun concept developed with assistance from Cedar Group Marketing & Public Relations! It’s been performing incredibly well across all of our social platforms. Social Media is constantly changing, the algorithms can make it incredibly difficult for current and future followers to see your content… so our focus the last year has been in engagement and increasing engagement across all of our platforms. Here’s some things that I’ve noticed leading social media for SEARHC: 1. People enjoy substance. Sometimes a super simple post can work (e.g. text on a plain background) IF the words hold value and make a strong statement. 2. Trends are fun and really work the algorithm in your favor. Sometimes hopping on the bandwagon is perfectly okay. The photo below has been done by countless other accounts - it worked for them, why not work for us? (Spoiler alert: it did) 3. Showcase the heart and soul of your organization as much as you can. People won’t engage with your content if it doesn’t speak to them. No one wants to be sold to. What they will engage with: highlights of employees who they love to see, content that speaks to the past/present/and future of your organization, and why you do what you do. 4. Celebrate your wins! Our followers love to see us thriving. I know social media can be tricky, especially when you work in the healthcare, nonprofit or government realm - but it can still be fun. I’m experimenting with LinkedIn and wondered if sharing the content I help develop is helpful to others working within similar constraints. Are posts like this helpful? Now I’m curious - what’s worked for you?
How it started vs. how it’s going. See how far we’ve come! 💫 In 1975, a small grant got SEARHC started with a staff of three in a loaned office space in downtown Juneau. Since then, we have grown in size and purpose to now provide healthcare to all Southeast Alaska residents and visitors across the 27 communities we serve. Our team of more than 1,200 professionals is using some of the most sophisticated medical technology in the state to partner with our communities to foster a healthy balance of mind, body and spirit.

Join Secretary Speaker Series with Secretary Wade Crowfoot to discuss Outdoors for All: California’s Pathway to Providing Equitable Outdoor Access on January 18 from noon to 1pm. Governor Newsom and state leaders are building a “California for All,” where all of us have an opportunity to live healthy, prosperous lives. We know spending time outside and in nature is an important part of living a healthy, full life, yet too many Californians don’t have these opportunities. Outdoors for All is a groundbreaking initiative across the state to build more parks and open space, reduce barriers to getting outside, and ensure all feel welcome in our outdoor places. A just-released Outdoors for All Strategy charts our recent progress expanding opportunities and highlights key actions we need to take to broaden outdoor access. Join us and a range of leaders to unpack what’s working to expand outdoor access, where we need to concentrate our efforts, and how each of us can join the Outdoors for All movement. Over the last two years, Blue Cross NC, led by our CEO, Tunde Sotunde, embarked on our Extra Miles Tour. This was an effort to get out of our offices, hit the road (we traveled more than 11,000 miles!) and #listen to the communities and people we #serve. I’m proud to share with you Blue Cross NC's Extra Miles Tour report. This was no ordinary listening tour. The conversations and experiences we had along the way are helping us think outside the box. We're exploring how we engage with the communities we serve and where there are new opportunities to convene and collaborate. This report outlines some of the key takeaways from our journey. The lessons and observations gathered here (plus the great ideas that we couldn’t share in such a limited space) are helping us create the roadmap for our work ahead and providing a better picture of where to focus resources and energies. This report represents an important milestone, but it isn’t a wrap-up by any stretch of the imagination. It’s the first step in the next leg of our journey to make health care better for all. Stay tuned to see what's next! https://lnkd.in/dd4JZThf

I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting Rosalie Filling and am not even connected with her (yet) on LinkedIn. However, her recent talk at the Innovation Network Gathering struck a cord and is so spot on that I want to shout it from the rooftops. With nearly 25 years of experience in the industry at the site level, I can confidently say that this moment stands out as a time when a Sponsor company truly “gets it.” Rosalie eloquently addresses the pivotal role of the research sites as the face of clinical trials. Despite this, she emphasizes that these sites often have the least amount of input into the systems and vendors used for the very trials that are conducted within their walls. Her words are a tribute to the nurses and clinical research coordinators, the unsung heroes who played a crucial role in her own journey as a clinical research participant. The faces of clinical research are rarely mentioned in any publications, seldom asked for their opinions on the trials they work so hard on, and are often the first to experience burnout. As she suggests, the dynamic is changing. Since 202, there has been a noticeable shift, with sites grappling with increased staff overwhelm, rising costs, technological burdens, and shrinking margins. However, this shift also brings an empowering aspect for sites as we experience a rise in the prevalence of diseases and R&D expenditures of pharmaceutical companies launching new therapies. Simply put, there is growing demand for research studies, and consequently, an increased need for sites conducting these studies. In essence, the landscape is evolving, offering sites the opportunity to be selective and make choices in the studies they take on. Thank you, Rosalie for this message.
