Outraged I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! Australia viewers have slammed the series over an 'impossible challenge' during Tuesday's episode of the show.

Several fans said the 'impossible' and 'ridiculous' task prompted them switch off the show altogether.

The 11th season of the celebrity survival game show was quickly panned by viewers on Sunday, during its premiere episode.

The 2025 cast - including reality stars Reggie Bird, Matty Johnson,  Samantha Moitzi and Tina Provis, footballer Zach Tuohy, comedian Geraldine Hickey, TV host Nicky Buckley, Olympian Shayna Jack, radio veteran Dave 'Hughsey' Hughes, and UK internet personality Max Balegde - were labelled as 'nobodies', while hosts Robert Irwin and Julia Morris got panned as 'unfunny.'

'Can someone come and collect their nanna from the jungle please?' the official IAC Instagram account captioned a clip of Max, 26, doing the challenge.

The 26-year-old TikToker is seen dangling over a crocodile-and-hippo-infested canyon in South Africa while holding a basketball.

Contestants were made to walk out onto an ultra thin beam, suspended 95 metres in the air above crocodile-filled waters, where they had to try and shoot a basketball into a hoop.

In a previous challenge, contestants had to jump off the same ledge, wearing harnesses and grab onto a hanging target.

'Just make sure if I sh*t myself, they turn the cameras away Julia [Morris],' Max - who is very much afraid of heights - told the longtime host.

'He's shaking. His hands are shaking,' co-host Robert Irwin commented.

'Just five minutes ago he was lying on the floor, now he's on the plank.'

Max, having faced his fear of heights during the first challenge so he wouldn't 'let anyone down', exclaimed: 'What are we doing back here?!'

Matty J also struggled and missed the basket, telling his fellow contestants the challenge is 'so hard.'

After no one made a single shot, the Bachelor alum had to go a third time, and was also made to wear flippers.

Matty J agreed, telling the camp they were 'devastated'.

'Justice for Max!!!' the TikToker's podcast co-host George Clark commented, with viewers calling the 'nana' caption a bit harsh.

'He was so brave,' one viewer commented.

'This game is enough to stop watching the show,' someone else wrote.

'This game was literally an absolute stitch up!' said another. 'I’d like to see them release the testing footage of whoever was trialing it, getting it in multiple times, in both the yellow and green zone and with flippers!'

'How ridiculous? How much testing did they do? Almost like the game was designed for them to fail,' added yet another annoyed viewer.

'Come on guys this was an utterly ridiculous and impossible challenge to do!! Testing, shmesting!! Even Michael Jordan couldn’t do this!'

'This challenge is ridiculous! This is way too hard! Not funny!'

Max, who has 3.6million followers on TikTok, received an outpouring of love and support from UK and Australian fans alike.

Viewers of the series said they really appreciated Max being so 'real' and voicing his fears and talking about the experience like a 'regular person would'.

Daily Mail Australia exclusively revealed the show, which sees celebrities living in the jungle with few creature comforts, wasn't expected to return last year.

According to an inside source, host Julia Morris told a close friend she was not confident the show would run again until Robert Irwin was introduced to the series.

The Wildlife Warrior's addition to the reality TV show after former co-host Dr Chris Brown jumped ship to Channel Seven reinvigorated the series.

The insider went on to say that ITV Australia, the company that produces I'm A Celeb, rallied for the show to stay in the line-up, citing Robert, 21, among the show's strengths.

While the most recent series of IAC UK attracted a massive 9million viewers per episode in November 2024, the Australian series is so far middling in the ratings.

Monday night's episode of IAC Australia attracted a total 1,446,000 viewers, making it the 8th most watched program in the country.

Sunday's premiere raked in 1,723,000 viewers, and while the show is the number one entertainment program, most Australians opted to tune into the Australian Open instead.
