Celine Dion in 'final stages' of negotiating Resorts World Las Vegas residency... amid ongoing battle with stiff person syndrome

Céline Dion is reportedly in the 'final stages' of negotiating her long-delayed Resorts World Las Vegas residency, which is scheduled to start in 'November or early 2025' depending on the severity of her battle with stiff person syndrome.

The 56-year-old French-Canadian chanteuse - who hasn't performed live since March 2020 - previously signed on to do a limited run of 10 dates at the Resorts World Theatre back in 2021, but it was called off months before she revealed her rare autoimmune neurological disorder.

'It's basically a done deal. She's doing it,' an insider told TMZ on Wednesday.

'This is all her. No one is pushing her to do it. She has a passion for getting back onstage, and she's gonna do it. She's just prepared to power through it. It won't stop her from performing.'

There's currently no one scheduled to headline the 4,700-seat venue after eight-time Grammy winner Carrie Underwood concludes her Reflection residency on October 26.

On July 3, The US Sun reported Dion 'has the full support of AEG' and she's spent 'the last eight months rehearsing with musicians and voice therapists' in order to prepare to perform a 70-minute concert of greatest hits.

'I'm gonna go back onstage, even if I have to crawl,' the five-time Grammy winner vowed to TODAY host Hoda Kotb on June 11.

'Even if I have to talk with my hands, I will. I will. I am Céline Dion.'

Céline could be seen suffering through severe muscle spasms and other painful symptoms in Irene Taylor's critically-acclaimed documentary I Am: Celine Dion, which was released June 25 on Amazon Prime Video.

Dion is currently in Paris ahead of her rumored $2M gig performing with 13-time Grammy winner Lady Gaga during the opening ceremony of the Summer Olympics this Friday along the banks of the Seine.

Estelle Midi columnist Thierry Moreau tweeted on Wednesday: '@Celine Dion And @Lady Gaga rehearsed La vie en rose by Edith Piaf as a duet. Celine Dion will be dressed by Dior with a pink and black feather cape…'

On the personal front, Céline has three sons - René-Charles, 23; as well as fraternal twins Eddy and Nelson, 13 - from her 21-year marriage to former manager René Angélil who died, age 73, from throat cancer in 2016.

Dion - who still gets 19.4M monthly listeners on Spotify - was only 12 when the twice-divorced father-of-three took her on and reportedly mortgaged his home to fund her first record La voix du bon Dieu in 1981.
