The 49-year-old actor enjoyed some pizza in an outdoor seating area where he was spotted having a conversation with a young brunette woman at a neighboring table.
The Spider-Man star's sighting comes after he sparked rumors that he was dating the the model and actress Lily Chee, who, at 20, is 29 years his junior.
However, Maguire's ex-wife Jennifer Meyer, 47, later claimed that the two were just friends.
For his vacation in the South of France, Tobey was dressed casually in a faded blue T-shirt that he paired with casual black sweat pants.

At some point, a man in shorts and a T-shirt joined the conversation and leaned over a chair at the woman's table as he spoke to the actor.
It's not clear if Tobey is in France for work or pleasure, but Saint-Tropez in particular is a popular spot for him.
Last year, he was seen in the popular vacation spot with his good friend Leonardo DiCaprio.
The Babylon actor has lately left fans wondering if he might have found a new, much younger, girlfriend after he was spotted with the model and actress Lily Chee at billionaire Michael Rubin's star-studded Fourth of July White Party in the Hamptons.

Lily — who has a Chinese–Malaysian father and an Irish and Scottish mother — has been working as a model since she was discovered at nine, and lately she has been expanding her reach with acting roles.
She's also a popular YouTuber with a following of 1.5 million on Instagram.
Lily has managed to balance her busy career, which has included starring in fashion campaigns for Calvin Klein, Dior, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger and Valentino, with her studies at Columbia University.
