Chad Michael Murray revs up excitement for Freaky Friday 2 with hunky first look photo of him on a motorcycle - leaving fans hysterical: 'Screaming!'

Chad Michael Murray dropped a first look at Freaky Friday 2 on Thursday, sending social media into a frenzy.

The One Tree Hill alum, 42, is reprising his role as Jake in the sequel to the 2003 body swap comedy, which also sees the return of Lindsay Lohan (Anna Coleman) and her onscreen mom Jamie Lee Curtis (Tess Coleman). 

In an Instagram image shared jointly by Chad — who was Lohan's love interested in the original — and Disney, the actor looked hunky as ever while posing with his iconic motorcycle.

He sports a simple black shirt and tight blue jeans, and his hair is grown out in a longer style with the character's signature blonde highlights.

Freaky Friday is a comedy about a Tess and her daughter Anna who magically switch bodies.

Other characters from the original who are returning to the sequel are Mark Harmon (Ryan), Christina Vidal Mitchell (Maddie), Haley Hudson (Peg) and Stephen Tobolowsky (Mr. Bates).

While new cast members include Julia, Manny Jacinto, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan and Sophia Hammons. 

The Nisha Ginatra-directed film will focus on a 'multigenerational twist' that takes place years after Tess and Anna switched bodies in the original movie.

The premise reads: 'Anna Coleman and her mother Tess are in another predicament when they swap bodies with Anna's daughter. Now it's up to the three to reverse the body swap,' per an IMDB synopsis. 

Production for the sequel — which is slated to be released in 2025 — officially kicked off in June.

Freaky Friday was released in theaters in August 2003 and was a box office success, raking in $160.8 million on a budget of $26 million.

It received positive reviews upon its premiere in theaters, with Jamie notably garnering a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy.

Lindsay won the MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Performance in 2004, as well as the Teen Choice Awards for Choice Breakout Movie Star – Female.

During a recent interview with ABC News, she gushed about returning to the Freaky Friday world and reuniting with former costar, Jamie.

She said: 'Jamie and I have stayed in touch over the years. You know how they say when you have a best friend or someone you're really close with?

'If you can not see them for years and years, but when you see them again, it's like you never separated. And I think just women supporting women is such an incredible thing.'

Lindsay also opened up about how it felt to return to Disney and admitted: 'I think really for me was when I went onto the Disney lot.
