Simone Biles reveals 'weekly therapy' has helped her regain confidence for the Olympics after getting the 'twisties' in Tokyo

Simone Biles will be under a huge spotlight as she represents Team USA for a third time later this month at the Paris Olympics

To deal with that pressure, the gymnastics legend revealed she is doing weekly therapy.

Those therapy sessions have helped Biles regain her confidence after getting the 'twisties' in Tokyo.

Biles withdrew from the team all-around competition at the last Olympics due to the 'twisties', a state of mind where gymnasts cannot recognize where they are in the air during their routines.

With the high degree of difficulty of the moves Biles wants to perform, competing with the 'twisties' can lead to serious injury.

'I am doing therapy weekly to keep everything in tune so that I feel comfortable and confident enough to be competing,' Biles told ELLE. 'It’s been a crucial part of my training regimen. I understand and realize I have to take care of my physical appearance as well as my mental.'

Biles doing her hair in the same way has also been part of her journey back to the Olympics.

She is planning to wear her her in two feed-in braids, which will show off her cheekbones, per ELLE.

'I’m finally learning to love my hair and the texture that I have and the styles that I can do,' Biles said. 'I used to worry about (my hair being considered) not professional. But I’m not embarrassed about it anymore.'

Biles is now the oldest member of Team USA at 27, and is slated to compete in a full range of Olympic events in Paris.

Biles is already back in top form, winning the all-around at the Olympic Trials, besting all four of her American teammates.

Winning one medal in Paris would make Biles the most decorated American gymnast in the history of the Olympics.
