Fans were seen celebrating outside an Oakland beauty store just seconds before a female rapper was shot and killed.

Alliauna Green, 27, known as Tan DaGod, was killed around 5pm Saturday as she unveiled Glamor Beauty Supply on Telegraph Avenue.

The store was celebrating its grand opening under new ownership after closing its doors in May. The up-and-coming rapper planned a meet-and-greet there as she posted videos beaming with pride just before the night turned deadly.

A crowd of supporters were seen dancing and singing to music just moments before several shots rang out. Green later died at the hospital while a woman, who was also shot, survived.

The Oakland Police Department is currently investigating the fatal shooting and looking for the suspect that witnesses said fled the scene on foot.

During the shooting, shoppers ducked for cover in a nearby doughnut store.

An employee at the shop named Vincent explained what he witnessed when violence broke out.

'I hear some shots and I thought the shots were part of the music, the performance, then I heard three really loud shots.

'I think the rapper was screaming, "I'm hit, I'm hit," and she was just laying on the ground until medics came,' Vincent told KTVU

Another witness, Sul Cho, who works at a Korean BBQ restaurant near the beauty store said that the young rapper appeared to be targeted by the shooter.

'He was targeting her only, cause I saw it. He wasn’t shooting at everybody, he was just shooting at her,' Cho recalled.

Fans have speculated that the rapper's murder might have been fueled by ongoing tension between Green and her ex-boyfriend's family.

Green served jail time for shooting her ex-boyfriend in self-defense in 2020. After she was released, she was placed in protective custody, which she left to attend the meet-and-greet.

A resurfaced video from September 2023 showed Green sparking up a blunt next to a fake tombstone that read 'Here lies my ex' as she promoted her newest EP 'Ex Wood Pack.'

'You should've never died. You should've never played with me because then I gotta take it to the third degree,' Green said in the video as she giggled and faced the tombstone.

'I got this to be extra f****** childish, making families mad- oh well, cause they ain't gonna do sh** about it.'
