Built on seven hills facing the Tagus River, charming Lisbon is one of the oldest cities in the world. It showcases unique tram rides, intimate Fado performances, great dining venues and much more.
The city is famous for its districts: Belem's famous monuments; Alfama's labyrinth of streets, bars and small shops; and trendy Alcantara's docks. Lisbon’s most popular nightlife and shopping venues are in Bairro Alto, while the traditional heart of the city beats rhythmically in Baixa.
Enjoy a walk through Jardim Botanico, admire the architecture of the Jeronimos Monastery or explore the Feira da Ladra flea market. The Chiado area serves the city's best traditional Portuguese cuisine. No meal is complete without the famous pasteis de nata!
Getting to the city center is only a metro or bus ride from Lisbon Portela Airport. Whether you want a luxury hotel, a friendly guesthouse or a cozy apartment, Booking.com has plenty of accommodations for your vacation in Lisbon.

First trip to Portugal and Lisbon and I fell in love with the city. My 4 short days meant I had to pack in as much as I could.
I need to return for more. From the cobblestone streets, to the open pedestrian areas and plazas, Lisbon is a delight for tourism or business.
Historic and cultural sights are plentiful. The Tile Museum is a must. There is tilework almost anywhere you look on the exterior of buildings. Dining choices are bountiful with almost all world cuisines represented. The city is highly walkable, even if hilly and sometimes steep climbs. There are respites from those with elevators tucked into buildings and outdoor escalators. Even a historic elevator near Rossio Plaza.
It's a must repeat trip!

Our Tour Guide Kazi from Tour7Portugal was one of the most incredible private two days we had in Portugal. He went above and beyond to take us to all the Lisbon attractions including Sintra and Cascais, he took pictures of us, was well mannered, on time and the most incredible tour guide we have ever used. He brought us to eat at several great true Portuguese restaurants during our full day private tours. We loved Kazi after two days of touring with him, he is now considered a true trusted friend....that's how amazing he is. Top Notch Tour Guide in Many areas of Portugal.
We also ate at Pinocchio by Rossio square. The food there was great and the wait staff was top notch. The waiters treat you like family... you must get the shrimp, clams and the steak. We went here twice that's how much we loved it. We also ate at Sea Me which was delicious and had a great concept for seafood.
We stayed at the Lumiares which was the most incredible hotel, perfectly located, apartment living instead of rooms, spot on service, close to the funicular because Lisbon is hilly. Very centrally located. Amazing service on all levels from the front desk, waitstaff, great pizza place downstairs, amazing rooftop upstairs. A true Gem.

Despite the hills, it is a walkable city, and the views are lovely. We find the shopping to be excellent, but the cafes are worth the trip. It is always fun to find a crowded cafe and join in for a snack and glass of green (or red or white) wine, or draft beer. The metro system is excellent, and the the trams and funiculars are always fun.

Nice and beautiful city. you can easily to take public transportation to get around. Much tasted food, like sea food rice, pasteis, roast pork. Price is fair. There are many historical sites worth to visit: Sintra, palace of Pena, Quinta da Regaleira, Cascais. Jerónimos Monastery Pastéis de Belém. Belem Tower. Recommend to use Lisboa Card for traveler.

I leave Lisbon feeling a little smug with my choice of hotel. I cannot find fault. It was excellent!
The location was so so good. Close to the city centre with everything we needed within walking distance. The hotel itself has a lot of character. We had a lovely room on the 1st floor with a little terrace area. The staff are some of the best I have come across. They couldn’t do enough for you.
It was so nice to have the use of a pool which provided a lovely spot to relax after long days walking around.
Thank you Hotel Hotel.
Every member of staff treated us so warmly, all so professional and a credit to the hotel. Pool and bar area are as beautiful as the photos show. The cocktails, bar food, and breakfast are as good as any 5 star hotel. Good sized room, balcony, bathroom. Fantastic shower. Thomas the Concierge took extra care of us, and when my sunglasses broke, the handyman repaired them. Any issues were addressed immediately. We watched the supermoon rise over Lisbon from the cosy bar seats. A beautiful place. Love this hotel.
The staff are amazing, especially Martini, who goes out of his way to make every guest feel welcome and special. The position is unbeatable and should get 11/10. It's right in the very best heart of Lisbon. You are also just a few meters away from the Metro Restadoudoris. Take the metro from the airport 1.50€.. Don't come expecting a 5* hotel, but rather a boutique hostel with a 5* vibe. Highly recommended.
Listen folks, it’s a cheap hotel in general but good standard. Too sterile vs the work paid 5 star hotel on same city but did the job very well for an extra night. Convenience stores near by. I did not have breakfast there so I cannot comment on the food. Location was good but uphill on Lisbon pavements with Willy bag on a rainy day not a great combination. Overall very pleased with product I got.
Fantastic hotel. The staff is 5 stars, from the reception to the staff of the restaurant and bar. Breakfast is varied and has an egg menu, such as omelet and benedict. The room was comfortable and the bed fantastic. It has an indoor pool and spa. But the best part is the outdoor pool terrace with bar and a fantastic vertical garden. I recommend it and will come back.
