Madrid is a great city. There is an excitement in central Madrid. All day and night there are thousands of people on the street. There an abundance of stores, both high and low end. Excellent restaurants and world class museums.

I would not consider going to Madrid again because there were too many people everywhere, so much so that in some places one can hardly walk two steps without bumping into another person (especially in the evening). Highlight of the holiday was actually one/two hours away from Madrid when we went on a day trip to Segovia and Toledo.

Hated it. But may be because of the timing of my stay.
Hated it. But may be because of the timing of my stay. The run up to Christmas on a shopping centre. Nightmare haha
The architecture is outstanding but with so much of that kind of building ,things just kind of look the same.
It's also one big maze and can be tricky staying on the right track when following directions.
I prefer a city that has more charm, open space and being by the water in some way. I personally won't be returning and prefer other places in Spain.

See reviews by guests who stayed at hotels in Madrid
this is my fourth stay at Madrid - and the best. located in the business and premium area - the hotel is surrounded by plenty of Brand shopping options as well as the famous el corte ingles. 30 mins from airport and 3 kms from the bubbly and happening Gran via area. the hotel facilities and restaurant as well as housekeeping staff were over attentive to your need. i had two bookings done online thru booking.com hence for an 8 night stay and then 5 nights. so maybe you get to read double reviews :)
Very nice hotel in perfect location. Near airport and public transportation.
10€ with Uber from airport to hotel.
Also 10€ to the center of Madrid.
We walk Al along street till center, it's perfect street with lots of shops and people around.
Place is safe.
Really stylish boutique hotel in a great location in the centre of Madrid. The rooftop bar is one of the best I’ve been to at a hotel. The location is ideal; right at the heart of Madrid’s most lively city centre neighbourhoods
The hotel is based very central at Gran Via. A good and various breakfast is offered. But the best part is the rooftop bar and pool, at the city centre but still calm enough to relax during the day - or the night.
Really good breakfast. One of the best we have had in Spain.
The cleaning was excellent.
If you want a hotel in the center of Madrid, this is a really good choice.
