The Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) is committed to sharing information about our work with the public and improving awareness about our service.
AFCA media releases, news and webcasts
We publish a range of items, including:
Community outreach
An important objective for us is to provide an accessible service for everyone. We attend a range events across the country to raise awareness of AFCA with people who might need help with a financial complaint and who may not be aware there is an ombudsman in financial services.
Invite AFCA to your community event by sending an email to [email protected] or calling 1800 931 678 during business hours (AEDT).
Stakeholder engagement
We regularly meet with government, members, advocates, industry associations, small business and consumer groups, to discuss emerging issues and to consider process and service improvements.
Information for consumer advocates
We publish information for consumer advocates to assist them in dealing with AFCA, representing someone with a complaint, or referring complaints to us. These groups include:
- community legal centres, Legal Aid commissions and consumer law specialists
- financial counselling services
- consumer advocacy groups
- support services specialising in financial abuse, including domestic violence.
