Licence des assets

Toutes les ressources (HDRI, textures et modèles 3D) sur ce site sont le travail original du personnel de Poly Haven, ou des artistes qui donnent/vendent leur travail à Poly Haven.

Nos actifs sont tous sous licence en tant que CC0, ce qui est effectivement du domaine public, même dans les juridictions qui ne prennent pas en charge le domaine public.

Voici un extrait de la FAQ CC0 pour clarifier :

Once the creator or a subsequent owner of a work applies CC0 to a work, the work is no longer his or hers in any meaningful sense under copyright law. Anyone can then use the work in any way and for any purpose, including commercial purposes [...] Think of CC0 as the "no rights reserved" option. CC0 is a useful tool for clarifying that you do not claim copyright in a work anywhere in the world.

Pourquoi CC0?

Nous pensons que les avantages de l'utilisation de cette licence l'emportent sur les inconvénients évidents pour nous en tant qu'entreprise.

Oui, il est possible que des utilisateurs contraires à l'éthique peuvent (et revendent) notre travail pour leur propre profit, au détriment de clients involontaires qui ne savaient pas qu'ils achetaient du contenu qu'ils pouvaient obtenir ici gratuitement.

Mais ce que l'industrie 3D dans son ensemble gagne à ce que notre travail soit si librement disponible est incommensurable

L'art 3D n'est également que la pointe de l'iceberg, nous avons entendu de nombreux scientifiques des données, développeurs de logiciels, ingénieurs automobiles et chercheurs en intelligence artificielle utiliser tous nos actifs dans leur travail, ce qui ne serait tout simplement pas possible avec des licences plus restrictives (même open source).

Nous n'avons rien contre le droit d'auteur en général, nous croyons simplement que nous pouvons faire plus de bien dans le monde en offrant autant de liberté que possible.

Si vous bénéficiez financièrement de notre travail, par exemple en incluant nos actifs dans un produit que vous vendez, ou si vous les utilisez simplement fréquemment dans votre propre travail, veuillez considérer nous soutenir sur Patreon avec un petit don mensuel afin de nous aider à continuer à produire plus d'actifs et à maintenir cette plateforme.

Although our assets are shared under the CC0 license, and our code is open source, we maintain a standard Terms of Service agreement to prevent any misuse of this website (polyhaven.com).
