Explanation of the title puns on JB
See no reason why, we shouldn't explain the puns without gicing sources since they are in pop culture references. Not many people remember Come Back, Kotter. As an example, all of the Chuck Jones-directed Tom and Jerry shorts have title word play explanations to themRadiohist (talk) 18:30, 11 July 2012 (UTC)
- I reverted your edit because all that info seems like misc. trivia that should belong on TV.com or a wikia page rather than here. I think you're speaking of the individual T&J articles, and if so, it would be fine to add if JB also had separate articles for each episode; however, that's not the case. The episode list is meant to have short, clear descriptions that are neither over- nor under-detailed, and some of the title puns you added were actually longer than the descriptions themselves. Another reason why is simply because none of that information can be verified, and making unverifiable claims on WP as a rule of thumb isn't recommended. Paper Luigi T • C 01:55, 12 July 2012 (UTC)

DYK for Dexter's Laboratory: Mandark's Lab?
On 5 December 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Dexter's Laboratory: Mandark's Lab?, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that Candi Milo voiced Dexter in both Dexter's Laboratory: Mandark's Lab? and the original television series? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Dexter's Laboratory: Mandark's Lab?. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

- Hi! Thank you for creating an article on this game. I found it on a list of new video game articles, and after expanding it a bit, I nominated it for a WP:DYK. It is right now on the main page of Wikipedia in the Did You Know section. Thanks again for creating articles on overlooked games, and for providing strong sources to build off of. --Odie5533 (talk) 16:14, 5 December 2012 (UTC)
- Well, thanks for helping expand and nominate it, Odie! It wouldn't be on the front page right now without your help. This is the first time that something I significantly contributed to has been on the main page, let alone an article I created a few days ago. And thanks, I'll be sure to continue doing what I do because I really enjoy editing and improving Wikipedia. :) Paper Luigi T • C 17:35, 5 December 2012 (UTC)
Animation redirects
Hello! Thank you for all the work that you've done for {{WikiProject Animation}}. However, I noticed that you have been creating talk pages for a large number of redirects, and adding them to the project. The Redirect-Class should be used primarily for links that were once articles, because they are are now redirected to other articles. While I applaud your intentions, it is not necessary to add EVERY SINGLE redirect to the project, especially for links that are just multiple variations in spelling. Please consider redirecting these pages to the appropriate talk pages, instead of needlessly adding wikiproject banners to talk pages, for redirects that are unlikely to become articles or be discussed separately. Thanks! Fortdj33 (talk) 14:15, 10 December 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for clarifying that. I will get to sorting those out asap! Paper Luigi T • C 20:00, 10 December 2012 (UTC)

List of international Cartoon Network channels
Hey. You recently added the {{unreferenced}} tag to List of international Cartoon Network channels. I'm no List of expert, but I was under the impression that this List of article didn't need references, as per WP:Lists (stand-alone lists)#Citing sources. The information in the article comes from the articles themselves, and since as they are clearly related channels (by name, branding, and parent company), are references necessary? || Tako (talk) 00:26, 26 January 2013 (UTC)
- To an extent, yes. As Cartoon Network (Argentina) and Cartoon Network (Mexico) don't have articles of their own, the info on the channels' launch dates needs to be cited. On the contrary, if these channels are in fact branches of Cartoon Network (Latin America) (they share a release date like the one for Brazil), then all that needs to be done is for those red links to be made into redirects. Paper Luigi T • C 00:35, 26 January 2013 (UTC)
- I have created the previously red link'd pages, and redirected them to Cartoon Network (Latin America). Originally, there was only one listing on the article, mentioning all four. I believe another recent edit split them up into four separate table entries (as per the four feeds from the single channel, mentioned in the article.) But, does this suffice? Should the unreferenced tag be removed? || Tako (talk) 00:57, 26 January 2013 (UTC)
- That will suffice, yes. I have removed the tag. Paper Luigi T • C 01:14, 26 January 2013 (UTC)

Hey, I noticed that you added an image of Craig to the top of the page and I think thats fine and all but would an image of one of the DVD's be a better fit? I think that placing an image in low resolution per {{Template:Non-free video cover}} might be acceptable. - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 02:47, 26 January 2013 (UTC)
- Honestly, I'm not sure what would fit best there. There isn't really a standard for episode list images, but I chose the picture of Craig based on similar images at List of The Simpsons episodes and List of Family Guy episodes (both are featured lists). If we were to use a DVD cover, on the other hand, I'd definitely recommend the complete series DVD (for obvious reasons). Paper Luigi T • C 02:56, 26 January 2013 (UTC)
- I was looking at List of Tokyo Mew Mew episodes here to compare but okay *Shrugs* I have no preference here but want to say that Craig did not do the whole series by himself. - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 03:03, 26 January 2013 (UTC)
- I don't mind if you change the image. The Craig pic is freely licensed so there's nothing lost if you remove it from the article. Paper Luigi T • C 03:10, 26 January 2013 (UTC)

Hello. The Powerpuff Girls title card has been removed from the infobox on the PPG article again. I've tried to bring it back but, It's like the same user who replaced the title card with a file depicted the logo without the creator's name thinks the article is better off without the title card. CN English
Saw your post at Template talk:Cartoon Network. CN English appears to be a hoax. I think the inclusion of YouTube Poop as a program on their schedule makes it obvious that it's a hoax. Ten Pound Hammer • (What did I screw up now?) 13:15, 2 February 2013 (UTC)
About your recent RfD for Dane Boedigheimer...
Your request seems rather uncontroversial in nature to me. Have you considered just placing a new section on Talk:Dane Boedigheimer with the {{editprotected}} template, asking for the redirect's target to change? It would save you, and other editors, a lot of time, as well as avoiding having an unnecessary discussion regarding an uncontroversial edit via RfD. Steel1943 (talk) 04:06, 25 April 2013 (UTC)
- Please disregard the previous comment. I went ahead and requested that this redirect's protection level be dropped on WP:RFPP due to it now having a referenced subject, and that request was met by King of Hearts, who redirected Dane Boedigheimer to Daneboe and changed the protection level of the redirect to semi-protection. I'll go ahead and note this on your RfD, and close it. Steel1943 (talk) 05:22, 25 April 2013 (UTC)
CN Europeans shows.
Ah, I'm sorry. I should've done my research. I simply assumed they were removed without any reason as some people do such things sometimes. It appears that you are correct, so let's remove them. Once again, I apologize. Ctesjbuvf (talk) 19:59, 2 May 2013 (UTC)
Cartoon Network's Cartoon Cartoons
I have a question. Shouldn't the Cartoon Cartoons be treated as a separate page just like how Toonami is? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sonic100jam (talk • contribs) 14:42, 19 May 2013 (UTC)
- Not necessarily. The majority of the Cartoon Cartoons article and its sources were simply descriptions of other series that already had articles. There was not enough assertion of notability for the Cartoon Cartoons brand to justify a full article. Unlike Toonami, a popular programming block that was more than just a brand, Cartoon Cartoons was only a moniker used to group certain CN originals together, and is more like Nicktoons in that sense (though less noteworthy, as Nicktoons is still used while CC has been discontinued). The official discussion of the merge can be found at Talk:Cartoon Network. Paper Luigi T • C 21:58, 19 May 2013 (UTC)
The Original Barnstar | |
Well those series we're mostly done by hanna barbara and cartoon network together when cartoon network began producing their own series. Grim and Evil/ The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy and Evil Con Carne were the last shows Hanna Barabara produced with Cartoon Network before Hanna Barbara was defunct in 2002. Maybe the shows that were done by both studios along with the other small studios should have it own section. Sonic100jam (talk) 04:43, 22 May 2013 (UTC) |
What are your thoughts on the idea of creating an Animation Barnstar?
Hey, Paper Luigi. I don't know if you ever noticed my proposal for the creation of an Animation Barnstar at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Animation, but since I only ever got one response, I thought that I would try bringing the idea directly to a few editors. Given your extensive involvement in Animation articles, I wanted to see if you would be interested in supporting this. If so, consensus needs to be reached at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Wikipedia Awards for any new Barnstars to be created. --Jpcase (talk) 20:37, 1 September 2013 (UTC)
List of The Powerpuff Girls episodes
There are so many users that are trying to change the airdates based on the abundance of sources out there, while the first three seasons can be sourced I do not really trust the iTunes store here as a source. Lets say though that the iTunes source is right, we still have the issue of people coming in and changing airdates do you think that page protection is a solution? - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 12:40, 3 December 2013 (UTC)
- Let me point out that the MSN source cannot be fully trusted either. I've already shown why. I recently discovered a good official source in the United States Copyright Office, but beware, the links are prone to session timeouts (as demonstrated in my attempt at citing the What a Cartoon! air dates). Should we semi-protect the article? I think more can be done before we resort to that. Paper Luigi T • C 20:14, 3 December 2013 (UTC)
Proposal for the Creation of an Animation Barnstar
Hi, Paper Luigi. As I've mentioned before, I'm trying to get an Animation Barnstar recognized by Wikipedia:WikiProject Wikipedia Awards. Although there are already barnstars for anime and manga and film, I feel that these are both too narrow in their scope, since the former only covers a sub-topic of animation and the latter fails to recognize animation on television. I would also like to see the Animation Barnstar used to recognize work on articles about related topics, such as video games based on animated works and music that was written for or has become associated with animated works, and the Film Barnstar would not be applicable to these situations either.
In order for this barnstar to become a reality, a consensus will have to be reached, and while I tried to gain support for the idea a few months ago by posting it at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Animation, there was very little response then. This time, I'm contacting each member of the Animation WikiProject directly; two have already given their support (I still have several more to contact and only started last night), while two other editors (Khanassassin being one of them) voiced their support for the idea last time.
If you aren't interested in supporting this motion, then that's perfectly fine. I know that you didn't reply when I brought this up before, and I don't mean to bother you by bringing it up again. But since you are the only member of the Animation WikiProject that I have personally worked with, I would love to at least get your thoughts on this. --Jpcase (talk) 16:43, 8 December 2013 (UTC)
Re: Rude Removal
I originally thought it was made for season two but I was certain it was made for season one when I noticed "Dexter's Rival" was reaired. For the sake of the episode list I think "Rude Removal" should be listed were it was meant to air, as opposed to have its own somewhat awkward section. If we could find the exact episode for sure that would be great but would this be acceptable in the meantime. Grapesoda22 (talk) 19:11, 8 December 2013 (UTC)
PPG Dance Pansted.
Hello, I've seen the commercial for the new CGI Powerpuff Girls Special Dance Pantsed, and I'm still a little concerned. Are the Girls' new CGI Designs are going to replace the current picture on the Powerpuff Girls article and the pictures on its List of characters in the Powerpuff Girls section here on Wikipedia? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zboogie604 (talk • contribs) 18:20, 22 December 2013 (UTC)
- No. The articles are about the series, not the CGI special. Paper Luigi T • C 21:10, 22 December 2013 (UTC)
Hello, I now understand that the Girls' new CGI designs are not going to replace the picture depicting their original designs on the Powerpuff Girls article as well as the ones in its characters section but I'm still worried because:
1. Somebody on another website thinks that the new Powerpuff CGI Special is going to be the pilot episode for a new series.
2. Everybody (except most of us) thinks that the new CGI designs of the Powerpuff Girls are going to take the place of their original ones, on the Powerpuff Girls website on Cartoonnetwork.com and even in the new Powerpuff Girls comics from IDW Publishing days after the new CGI Powerpuff Girls special airs. Do you think that could happen weeks after the new special premiers? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zboogie604 (talk • contribs) 18:20, 22 December 2013 (UTC)
- Because the original Powerpuff Girls series has already ended, any new series would go to a new article (if it's even notable enough). I haven't heard anything about a new PPG series. It's best to disregard rumors until official word comes from the network. Paper Luigi T • C 09:22, 24 December 2013 (UTC)
No matter how hard I try to disregard rumors, they still keep expecting me to believe that the new CGI Powerpuff Girls special, is going to lead to a new PPG series, instead of the special airing for one night only. I'm always a victim to those kinds of rumors. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zboogie604 (talk • contribs) 18:20, 22 December 2013 (UTC)
I saw the commercial for the Girls' five hour marathon this upcoming Sunday, and I saw what happened to the Powerpuff Girls game, "Attack of the Puppy-bots". It was remade in the girls' CGI design from the new one-off special. What if this is a sign that this could be the last time we'll ever see the Powerpuff Girls in their original designs and they'll change the PPG website— Preceding unsigned comment added by Zboogie604 (talk • contribs) 18:20, 22 December 2013 (UTC)

Requesting your input regarding airdate references at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Television
Hi Paper Luigi, I saw your reversion at List of Aaahh!! Real Monsters here. I too noticed the questionable, unexplained, unsourced date changes, and I was going to do an audit, when I noticed that TVGuide.com and Zap2It were not in sync, and were reporting different airdates from one another. Really a bummer. I started a discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Television#Anybody got a source more reliable than Zap2It and TVGuide? with the hope that someone could help figure this mess out. This isn't the first time both sites have not been in sync. I thought I'd mention it to you in case you had any thoughts on where to go for reliable information. Hi there, I saw your comments here. To address your confusion, there is a user operating from IPs in Olive Hill, Kentucky and Morehead, Kentucky who goes around to various articles and adds weird lists, has conversations with his/herself, and makes up completely incoherent scenarios between various cartoon characters, etc. It's possible he/she is using Wikipedia for therapy. Here is the sock investigation. Other examples of what to look for here and here. Take care, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 13:11, 12 February 2014 (UTC)
I Don't Get It
I don't understand... all these years I grew up watching all the good shows on Cartoon Network from the mid-1990s through the 2000s including Dexter's Lab, Codename: Kids Next Door and The Powerpuff Girls were original Cartoon Network shows that have pilot shorts from the What A Cartoon! Show. And I knew that it aired pilot shorts for these Cartoon Network shows, but now I realize that they're just mere spin-offs of the What A Cartoon! Show, let alone spin-offs of their own pilot shorts, rather than just original series in which these shorts of Johnny Bravo, Cow and Chicken, Billy and Mandy, Dexter's Lab, Codename: Kids Next Door and The Powerpuff Girls became pilots for. Because of this, I don't even know who If these Cartoon Network shows I listed above are original series, or spin-offs anymore. - contribs) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zboogie604 (talk • contribs) 16:35, 15 May 2014 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.83.15.88 (talk)
- In the traditional sense of television spin-offs, these original programs you named wouldn't really fall under that category. The What-A-Cartoon! Show was only a project--a showcase show featuring 48 pilots from different creators who had little to do with each other. These shorts can stand on their own (and they do make for an interesting watch even nowadays). Still, WAC wasn't supposed to last forever. It was intentionally supposed to show off those 48 pilots for viewers and network executives to decide which should move forward as full series. Additionally, WAC didn't have one "universe" as most shows do, but a different world for each short. Johnny Bravo, Dexter's Lab, and the others are in their own worlds, and they should be treated as origineal series, not spin-offs. Paper Luigi T • C 21:51, 15 May 2014 (UTC)

Hello, I found out a few hours ago that a new Powerpuff Girls reboot series coming in 2016- two years from now. I'm a little teensy-weensy bit excited, but I'm extremely shocked and wprried at the same time. 1. Is the new Powerpuff Girls reboot series going to have any canonicity to the original series, 2.
