Hawzah News Agency- During the ceremony held in commemoration of the martyrdom anniversary Imam Musa al-Kadhim (the 7th Shia Imam), and on the eve of Rajab 25, the servants of Imam Reza shrine replaced the covering of the holy shrine and the flag of the dome at sunset as a symbol of mourning for the occasion.
Additionally, the courtyards of the shrine, minarets, and entrances were draped in black banners and flags.
It is worth mentioning that according to a long-standing tradition, during the martyrdom anniversaries of the Imams and Ahl al-Bayt, the green coverings and flags of the shrine’s dome are replaced with black.
The flag and shrine covering will be returned to green at sunset on Monday, in anticipation of the auspicious Eid al-Mab’ath, which is a significant religious holiday in Islam, commemorating the day when Prophet Muhammad received his first divine revelation from Allah.
