This movie is very different from the main Paltlabor tv series (47+16). This was more like a Ghost in the Shell clone, both story and animation.
Story: Disillusioned army personnel trying to bring about war by guerrilla methods.
We see mostly Gotho (the captain), captain Nagumo (the woman who sits in his office) and other relevant people but very less of the patlabor team. I was quite disappointed regarding this. But that aside this was a very serious and fulfilling anime.
Highly recommended.

Definitevely the best work of Oshii, with great plot and a awesome commentary on politics and war, definitevely you must see.

Another incredibly good movie directed by Mamoru Oshii. Great story and attention to details, quite similar to GiTS movie. If compared to the 1st movie then this time the main role goes to Captain Gotou and has more complicated dialogs (again, GiTS). Really enjoyable if you're into this kind of type anime.
