More than 230 lineworkers and contractors from Kentucky’s Electric Cooperatives joined 18 crews from other states to help co-ops in Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina restore electricity.
Commissioner Ben Salango said the lowest bid for the project was expected to be between $10-13 million, but now the Commission has 30 days to legally negotiate the current price of $16.2 million.
