Important enrolment information

It is important that you read your Letter of Offer carefully prior to you enrolment. 

Your enrolment date will be the start date of your research candidature and your enrolment must be completed before the lapse date of your offer letter.

If you’re unable to complete your enrolment by your offer lapse date, please email [email protected].

If you’ve received a conditional offer, the conditions of your offer must be met prior to your enrolment.

How to enrol 

Enrolments are conducted in person on Wednesday and Thursday at Graduate Research (Level 1, SPS Building, 24 Wakefield Street) on our Hawthorn campus.

What to bring to your enrolment

Please refer to your Letter of Offer for the documentation required for your enrolment.

This could include:

  • your passport (or other proof of identity)
  • Your Letter of Offer 
  • original or original certified copies of academic transcripts from your previous course(s)
  • a copy of your visa (international students)
  • a copy of your CoE (international students).

Starting your research program

To start your research program here at Swinburne, you need to log into our systems and complete the Student Online Induction.

You can access information and resources to help you throughout your PhD on the Swinburne Intranet (below). The intranet will give you access to the Student Online Induction, information for new students, policies and regulations, forms, training sessions, support services and events.
