Derrick White played one college season at Colorado, being named to the Pac-12’s 2017 All-Conference First Team and All-Defensive Team ... one of two players, joining Washington’s Markelle Fultz, to rank in the Pac-12 Top 10 in scoring, assists and blocked shots ... became one of three players in the last 20 seasons to average at least 18.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.00 blocksfor a season in Division I college basketball, along with Chicago’s Dwyane Wade and Fultz ... sat out the 2015-16 season per NCAA transfer rules ... prior to joining the Buffalos, played three seasons at Division II University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, where he is the school’s all-time leader in career points and assists ... averaged 22.0 points, 5.9 rebounds and 3.9 assists in three seasons at UCCS.

PERSONAL: Son of Richard and Colleen White…Has an older sister, Brianna. A 2012 graduate of Legend High School. All-state honorable mention and All-Centennial League First Team for the Titans. Led team to state playoffs in junior and senior seasons. Averaged 19 points, five assists and four rebounds. Also a member of the Titan baseball team.
