My Concussion Legacy Foundation (CLF) fundraiser is building momentum! Thanks to my friends and family who have donated so far. But we still have some time left! My family is supporting CLF for a few of reasons: First, we want youth sports to be safe for our kids. That’s something I would hope we all can get behind. Second, there are way too many ex-athletes of all ages who are suffering from symptoms of CTE. The free CLF HelpLine provides personalized support to those struggling with the outcomes of brain injury including concussions, post-concussion syndrome, and suspected CTE. Offering medical and educational resources, 1:1 peer support, and peer support groups, this interactive community provides patients and caregivers an inclusive, safe setting to recover together. So far, 6,000 families have benefitted from the CLF HelpLine, and with your help, we can grow this unique, vital, and FREE resource that changes lives. Finally, as we approach Memorial Day, we do this to support our veterans. We all know about some of the struggles that our veterans face after serving our country. What is new is the number of veterans that are discovered to have signs of CTE. Our military veterans and their families deserve to get resources they need to deal with the effects of brain trauma. CLF’s Project Enlist is designed to get those families the answers and the help they need. Please consider making a donation today at https://lnkd.in/eVRzhuUV.

"My trauma had been compounded by untrained statutory and charitable agencies. At my lowest point, two untrained, unregulated advocates interfered via social media, paralysing the joint constabulary open investigation." This survivor's account underscores the critical need to reshape our collective response for victims and survivors. Kyle's design and web development skills have been invaluable in making Post Stroke a reality. He recently designed and developed our new website which looks incredible! He has over 13 years of experience in UX/Product Design and Frontend Web Development, and it shows. He's also proficient in and passionate about web accessibility, something that's incredibly important for my organization, but should be the standard for all websites. I'm so proud of Post Stroke's new site! This past week, I carved out some time to design and build a quick new site for my wife’s nonprofit, Post Stroke. It’s very much an MVP-type project; we have a ton of ideas we’ve yet to build out. But I think it’s a solid first step and a reminder that ‘done is better than perfect’ :) Also, for those not in the know, this month is Stroke Awareness Month. Post Stroke has a ton of excellent awareness and educational content planned. They also just launched their first fundraiser. I’ll post their info below if you know anyone who might benefit from their free recovery education. Obviously, I’m biased, but I’m incredibly proud of her progress. Her work is making a real and lasting impact on the lives of many stroke survivors worldwide. Being on the ground and responding quickly after a crisis are two hallmarks of our work. By preparing community organizers, first responders, and practitioners to offer meaningful and effective support, we ensure that population-wide trauma is met with healing practices from the start. With your steady support, we can jump into action to empower communities to heal from population-wide trauma. Here are some examples of the impact your gift can have: 🧠Healing the trauma of war, violence, and extremism, as we did in Ukraine and the Middle East 🫀Healing trauma, relieving stress, and addressing burnout of healthcare workers in Indianapolis 🧘Healing collective trauma in the wake of mass violence, as we have through programs in Broward County and Las Vegas Support our Emergent Fund with a monthly donation: https://lnkd.in/emANpxuU
