How to Ruin Our Careers Before They Begin Derek Bender - drafted 2 months ago by the Twins in the 6th round - shows us how easily we can ruin our careers. This is a moment we can learn from - if we understand why it has such a big impact. This effects the pitcher's numbers.. which could impact his chances of promotion, a call up, or injury. This impacts the other pitchers and their numbers that he did this to - and their chances. This impacts the manager, and the coaching staff - who feed their families from their ability to lead - and are directly compensated/incentivized to win & develop winners. This impacts his team - I made an extra paycheck or two in the minor leagues during playoffs - so they'll miss out on that. And his team (the Mussels) will miss out on any revenue that could've been generated from those playoff games. 👉 if you aren't grateful for the opportunities & the things you have - then you will lose them.
