Wonderful event last night at Capital Trees Hotchkiss Green groundbreaking ceremony at the Hotchkiss Field Community Center in the City of Richmond. This project will transform two acres of treeless turf into an urban landscape with shade trees, walking trails, a pollinator garden, and more. Best part of the event, I brought my oldest daughter with me! She loved every bit of the ceremony from running around playing tag with the other kids to the ice cream to studying the renderings. She now wants to be an Engineer or Environmental Scientist when she grows up.

Pave paradise to put up a parking lot? Not in Cramerton, North Carolina! As the Town of Cramerton completed a stormwater master plan, the Town’s parking lot and adjacent roadways were identified as top priorities for infrastructure improvements. The Town opted for permeable interlocking concrete pavers to tackle stormwater management and enhance the area’s aesthetics. The pavers are eco-friendly, durable, and require minimal maintenance. Additionally, they effectively filter stormwater, improve drainage, and reduce flooding. To take a deeper look at this alternative approach and learn more about the project, click here to view a comprehensive case study: https://lnkd.in/eYhgvDJX #casestudy #sustainability #permeablepavers #cramertonnc
