Celebrating National Coming Out Day with EarnIn's Rainbow Alliance ERG 🏳️🌈 Today, we honor the strength, courage, and authenticity of our incredible team members from EarnIn’s Rainbow Alliance ERG. To mark this important day, we asked a few of our colleagues to share what National Coming Out Day means to them. Here’s what they had to say: 💬 "Coming Out Day means celebrating the courage to be authentic, a journey paved by the unwavering love and support of my Latino family and the LGBTQ community. As a first-generation success, their embrace of who I am has been the foundation of my strength and pride." — Ernesto Lopez (he/him), Sr. Site Operations Engineer 💬 "National Coming Out Day is more than just a celebration of identity—it's a reminder to show up authentically, every day, in every space. As a parent, I understand the importance of being a role model for my children, showing them what it means to live boldly and truthfully. I’ve never waited for a seat at the table. Instead, I’ve created my own space—bold, inclusive, and unapologetically diverse—where new ideas flourish, and the status quo is not just challenged but redefined. The power to change our world begins when we embrace who we are, and lead with integrity, empathy, and the unapologetic bravery to be seen—not just for ourselves, but for our children and those whose voices have been silenced." — Florencia Garcia Carcagno (she/her), Sr. Creative Lead 💬 "National Coming Out Day is a celebration of authenticity for me. As an immigrant from Taiwan, I’m proud that my home country was the first in Asia to legalize same-sex marriage. However, across many Asian countries, deeply ingrained conservative values still prevent countless individuals from living openly, as they fear for their relationships, careers, and safety. Experiencing the inclusivity and acceptance in the U.S. has empowered me to embrace and express my true self and I stand in solidarity with those in Asia and beyond who are still fighting for the freedom to come out." — TaiHsu (Michael) Chen, CFA®, MBA (he/him), Sr. Treasury Analyst 💬 "National Coming Out Day is a reminder that we are all multifaceted, and being visible can inspire others to embrace their authentic selves. As someone who didn't always see people like me growing up, I'm proud to help shape a culture where everyone can feel seen and celebrated. It's in moments like these that we signal to each other: it's okay to be exactly who you are." — Steven Cho (he/him), Director, Capital Markets & Treasury At EarnIn, we are committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where everyone is empowered to live authentically. We believe in creating a space where each voice is heard, respected, and celebrated—today and every day. 🌈 ✨

World Mental Health Day is a great day to remind us how important it is to recharge — and that it’s not a one-person job. We sat down with Viki Lin, CSM, Senior Executive Assistant at EarnIn, to discuss Mindful Mates, EarnIn’s Employee Resource Group focused on mental health, and how important mental wellbeing is to her. How do you prioritize your mental health, both in and outside work? I consciously make an effort to set aside time every day to do something that helps me unwind and recharge, whether that’s reading, working out, or crafting. How has Mindful Mates impacted you, and what do you hope it achieves moving forward?  As a lead of Mindful Mates, it has profoundly impacted my experience at EarnIn by allowing me to help create a supportive environment prioritizing mental and physical well-being. Looking ahead, we hope to scale the impact of Mindful Mates by fostering an environment where mental health is prioritized, openly discussed, and understood. By further normalizing conversations around mental health, we aim to reduce stigma and help cultivate a culture where everyone feels empowered to seek support, share their experiences, and celebrate their wellness journeys. Our goal is to ensure that mental health becomes an integral part of our overall culture, where every employee feels seen, supported, and valued as they prioritize their well-being at EarnIn. What advice would you give to someone struggling to maintain a healthy balance between their work and personal life? “You can’t pour from an empty cup” and “slow down to speed up.” These are easier said than done. Even though self-care has become such a mainstream term, it’s challenging to prioritize when we live in a culture that values hard work and productivity. You wouldn’t expect your car to run without gas, so you shouldn’t expect the same for yourself. We’re so glad we have colleagues like Viki to help keep our tanks full. If you’re looking for a career that allows you to prioritize your mental well-being, EarnIn is hiring. From September 15 to October 15, Hispanic Heritage Month honors Spanish-speaking people and communities across America. We talked with Jazmin Salinas, Legal & Regulatory Affairs Chief of Staff at EarnIn, about why the month matters to her and how the Hispanic community plays a vital role in shaping our industry. What does Hispanic Heritage Month mean to you? Hispanic Heritage Month holds profound significance for me. This month allows me to honor the sacrifices of those who came before me — my parents, grandparents, and ancestors — who worked tirelessly, often in the face of adversity, to build a foundation for future generations. Their perseverance and determination have deeply shaped who I am and how I approach my work. How do you feel seeing more Hispanic leaders emerging in various industries? It’s inspiring, as it reflects progress in diversity and inclusion. It shows that barriers are being broken, offering the next generation of role models while enriching industries with fresh perspectives and ideas. What role do you think Hispanic professionals play in the future of this industry? Hispanic professionals play a vital role in shaping the future of the Earned Wage Access (EWA) industry by bringing diverse perspectives that help create more inclusive and accessible solutions. Our cultural insights enable us to address the unique financial needs of underserved communities, driving innovation and ensuring the industry serves a broader audience more effectively. We couldn’t agree more. Looking to help shape the future of Earned Wage Access with Jazmin and the rest of the Hispanic community at EarnIn? With our recent incorporation efforts allowing EarnIn to directly hire employees in Mexico City, Mexican Independence Day has never meant more to us. 🇲🇽 So we sat down with Kevin Gamboa, Software Engineer in our Mexico City office, to talk about how he celebrates the historic day and how our CDMX office is creating new opportunities in fintech for locals. What significance does Mexican Independence Day hold in Mexican culture? Besides the historical significance, we love that date because we have parties with family and friends, sing classic Mexican songs, have a blast with the traditional “pozole,” and at midnight we do the “Grito de Independencia.” It’s a fun day. Is there a favorite memory you associate with it? When I was at school, we had a parade in which all the boys and girls participated, either by dancing or doing other activities. They dressed us in typical clothes from those times, which gave a special touch to the event. It was really fun and made us feel very patriotic. What about EarnIn's office in Mexico excites you most? It gives more opportunities to Mexican people to find a good place to work and show how talented we are. The fact that more Mexican engineers will join the team and will be able to experience the great culture that Earnin has to offer. Why should others in Mexico consider joining EarnIn?  I think the company lets you have a good work-life balance, and that’s not something very common these days. The people here are always glad to help you, and the mission of the company is noble. Looking for a career like that? National Women’s Equality Day is an important day for honoring women in the workplace and beyond.  We sat down with Karolina Banna, Head of Banking at EarnIn, and talked about how necessary it is for better gender equality. What does Women's Equality Day mean to you? For me it’s very simple, it means equal opportunities for great roles, equal pay for equivalent jobs, and equal accountability for at-home work (childcare, managing a house, etc). Women’s Equality Day provides an opportunity for us to think about how we are driving action in our own teams through our hiring practices, pay, promotion reviews, and encouraging equal access to family and parental leave. How do you envision a more inclusive and equitable future for all women? I envision it with data, and data is critical. Ensuring that we monitor access to coveted roles, pay, and promotions for different gender identities is really important. In the UK (where I’m from), large companies have to publish data on gender equality, and I think this is critical to creating action. What advice do you have for women who aspire to enter the Tech Industry? There’s nothing you can’t learn to do. You don’t need to have all the skills in a job spec, you just need to be curious and willing to dive in and learn. I am a big believer in mentors who can push you to try new things and go outside your comfort zone! What would you say to someone considering joining EarnIn? If you love data, solving problems, and collaborating with smart, lovely people, this is the place for you! Looking for a career where equality is baked into the mission? August 12 marked the Birth of the Queen Mother in Thailand — a day when mothers are celebrated for the impact they have in our lives. We talked with Wee Nawasuttipong, Engineering Manager at EarnIn, and learned how he celebrates this national holiday. What significance does this day hold in Thai culture? The Birth of the Queen Mother is also known as Mother’s Day in Thailand. People express their gratitude and love for their mothers, often participating in various ceremonies and charitable activities. The day also highlights the importance of maternal figures and their contributions to families and society. Recognizing this day in EarnIn’s global culture demonstrates our appreciation for diverse traditions and values, fostering a deeper understanding and connection among our team members. How do you like to celebrate? We spend quality time together, often enjoying a special meal and exchanging heartfelt messages. This day reinforces the importance of family bonds and reminds us to cherish and celebrate the maternal figures who play a vital role in our lives. How did you decide to join EarnIn?   I’m always on the lookout for great people to work with. You can’t have rainbows without some rain. And monsoon season in India brings plenty. We chatted with Nischal Kanipakam, Lifecycle Analytics Manager at EarnIn, about how the season’s cooler temps and rejuvenated landscapes are just the beginning. What’s the significance of the summer monsoon season in India? India welcomes the monsoons wholeheartedly as they bring respite from the scorching high temperatures and bring life back to its forests and mountains. A good summer monsoon is critical, from supporting the rural economy to sustaining diverse ecosystems and biodiversity and even influencing stock market performance. Are there any traditions your family practices this time of year? EarnIn’s flexible holidays and leave policy gives me the time to celebrate festivals such as Raksha Bandhan and Vara Mahalakshmi Vratham. India is a diverse country, and the way the monsoons are experienced and celebrated can vary, highlighting the country's diverse cultural landscape. What activities do you enjoy most during the season? The sound of the rain is soothing, making it a perfect time for indoor hobbies like reading. We stay with our parents for a while and travel together to the Western Ghats, a mountain range along the western coast of India, just to enjoy the rain and stay close to nature. Looking to join a team that promotes a good work-life balance, keeps you motivated, and is hiring globally? EarnIn is hiring. Many things affect our financial stability. BIPOC Mental Health Awareness Month reminds us how mental health can impact marginalized groups in ways that aren’t immediately obvious. We sat down with Lindsey Morales, Fraud and Disputes Investigator at EarnIn, to hear how she approaches BIPOC mental health. Why is BIPOC Mental Health Awareness Month important to you? As a Hispanic woman, BIPOC Mental Health Awareness Month is meaningful to me because it highlights the unique mental health challenges that people of color face, such as cultural stigma, lack of representation, and barriers to accessing care. Growing up, I witnessed firsthand how these issues affected my community with many struggling in silence due to lack of resources and understanding.  Working on the Risk/Fraud Team at EarnIn, I understand how mental health affects financial stability and overall well-being. This month is important because it raises awareness of these disparities and promotes culturally competent mental health care, ensuring everyone gets the support they need to thrive. Can you recommend a resource or activity that is helpful or inspiring in terms of your mental health and well-being? Painting and drawing, therapy, and my wonderful church community. I believe it is vital to surround yourself with activities and people that bring you joy! What makes EarnIn a unique or rewarding place to work for you? It’s where you can make a real difference in a supportive and innovative environment.  EarnIn helps people access their earned wages and achieve financial stability, so you’re part of a mission that improves lives and part of a passionate team that cares about your well-being and development. Earlier this month, our Rainbow Alliance Network ERG held “Growing with Pride”  — a panel discussion for everyone at EarnIn to learn about creating an inclusive and supportive environment. Panelists were members of our team who shared stories of resilience and community support, speaking about their experiences growing up and learning about themselves. We also heard from parents of LGBTQIA+ children and how they foster an open, supportive environment for their kids. Pride is a growing conversation with people sharing their new perspectives and stories as they begin to feel safe and proud of who they are. We’re grateful to have a diverse team of inclusive individuals who are receptive to others’ experiences. Creating space to share these stories is how we make the world even more inclusive and supportive. We’re all in this together. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ Special thanks to our Rainbow Alliance Network ERG for putting this event together, our esteemed panelists Stan L., Kristina Hathaway, Beth Woods, and Nick Raccioppi, as well as everyone at EarnIn who participated, asked questions, and shared their stories with us.
