Medical Laboratory Scientist Training

A program for college graduates in the physical and biological sciences to prepare them for success as a members of a health care team.

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree with the necessary courses in physical and biological sciences
  • Overall GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale and 2.8 in science courses

Lexington Medical Center’s Administrative Fellowship Program is a structured, one-year program committed to discovering potential as well as providing comprehensive training, mentorship, and experience to individuals in many operational areas of healthcare administration.

Career Exploration for High School Students

A program designed to introduce the health care industry to high school students of Lexington and Richland counties who have a genuine interest in a health care career.

Requirements

  • Lexington or Richland County resident or attending a school within the Lexington or Richland School districts or a dependent of a Lexington Medical Center employee
  • Rising high school senior at the time of application
  • 2.5 GPA or higher (4.0 scale)
  • Demonstrate a sincere interest in a health care field or working in a hospital setting.

Scholarships for Professional Training

$2,000 and $4,000 Each
Awarded to anyone enrolled as a full-time student in a nursing program or to LMC employees enrolled part-time in a nursing program or select Allied Health programs.

Other Requirements

  • Have maintained a minimum GPA of 2.75 for the most recent academic year.
