Enhancement

Localization settings will now apply to action names when not using a Display Name

Although localization settings show options to localize Add, Edit and Delete, localization was only being applied to Delete actions (where it would also override Display Name). This update will begin to apply localization to other action names as well, making it less tedious to customize the system generated Add and Edit actions (which currently requires updating the Display Name for every table). Display Name, if provided, will now override the Action name for all actions including Delete (whether localized or not). Note that if a Display Name is provided, it will be used directly without attempting further localization.

This enhancement will be rolled out gradually. It is currently deployed to 100% of free users.

We are rolling out a change to retire this behavior and only omit columns that are explicitly configured to be hidden. New: Deployed to 100% of free users and 50% of paid users. If you edit a column name, you are now prompted to update the name in all places that it's used in the app. Though, you'll still need to manually update any column name variables used in template expressions that include the old column name. Pooled licensing is now available for AppSheet Enterprise licenses self-serve

You can now choose how your enterprise licenses are provisioned to users. When pooled licensing is turned on, your AppSheet Enterprise Plus licenses will be granted to any user from your Google Workspace verified domains when they sign in to AppSheet, eliminating the need to assign licenses in the Google Admin Console. Customers on the legacy team licensing model have been automatically migrated to pooled licensing, but now have the ability to turn it on and off self-serve. See Pooled licensing.

As requested in the community, the following enhancements have been made in the Expression Assistant:

For a column in the current table scope, you now have the option to Insert as list.

For example:
Insert: [_RowNumber]
Insert as list: Cards[_RowNumber]
For a column in a table that is a list referenced by an in-scope table, you now have the option to insert the list as a standard list in addition to a list dereference by selecting Insert as list.

For example:
Insert: [Text][Price]
Insert as list: Prices[Price]
