Small boutique environment. We love the proximity to the beach from our room and the natural environment through out. the bungalow was very clean and with lots of windows. Rollers covered the morning light quite well. Staff is very honest, cordial, friendly. The beach is long and very well maintained. The breakfast is very well served for normal standards. Hotel provided plenty of bottled water in a jar. The Japanese restaurant is excellent.

The Pacha Tulum has very friendly staff speeking very good English ( even Italian) what is not always the case in other places. Rooms are clean and comfortable, bed was very good for my painful back. Tulum is becoming a pretentious disaster. Infrastructure is poor, and definitely not able to support the sudden arrival of upscale venues who monopolize all access to the beach. However, if you're into trashy club experiences masquerading as elite entertainment, you may love it. Personally, I think Mexicans should revolt against this slop that continues to displace the area's vibrant Mexican-Mayan culture.

I booked to stay in the city center because I thougth it would be more fun for my boys for the evenings. We should have booked something near the beach. The city center is not appealing at all.
The beach area (zona hotelera) looked great with its beach clubs. We were unlucky with the weather but I am sure on good days it is amazing!

To really appreciate Tulum you should go with friends and plan everything in advance, especially the cenotes and where you plan to eat. Everything is incredibly expensive compared to some other resorts in Mexico.

Tulum is very expensive...food and drinks and accomodation.
this doesn't really match up with the yoga, off the grid type vibe.
Then at night its super loud with all the clubs and their expensive drinks.
Beaches are expensive and every beach charges a minimum to sit there...like 475 US per person!
Shopping...you guessed it ...expensive lol
There are so many other great places in Mexico.

i spent 3 weeks here. it was about 2 weeks and 4 days too long. Really you only need a few days in Tulum. The restaurants and bars all cost the same as you would pay in Los Angeles or NYC. (Eating a meal at the local coffee shop ran me about $25-30 USD) The ruins are fantastic- they are upgrading everything so its a bit chaotic at the moment but i think it will be a great improvement. I went in the afternoon after all the tours had left and it wasn't too crowded or too hot and had a great time. The beaches were nice - but most of the beach clubs are pricey as well. I ended up leaving for a week and visiting Merida and Valladolid and both of those cities I liked much better. If I was a 22 year old who wanted to party and had money to spend Tulum would have been great. But someone looking for a small town with a slow pace and decent prices, I was left lacking.

A more boutique experience than Playa del Carmen and Cancun, with much nicer beaches in my experience. I highly recommend staying in Tulum if you love nice beaches. It is about 20%-30% more expensive, but well worth it my opinion.

Very recommended Hotel in Tulum!
Can’t wait for my next visit here.
Unforgettable experience 🤠
This is a perfect, peaceful getaway in Tulum! A small boutique hotel (only 13 rooms) with amazing facilities. The beds are super comfortable, shower is perfect, beach beds are everything you need, breakfast (and all other food) delicious and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Location is also perfect! Almost everything on walking distance, and otherwise you can use their bikes for free. Don’t skip a facial/massage!!
Really friendly staff at reception and restaurant who did all possible to create a great stay. Quiet location well off the Tulum beaten track - not for everyone but perfect for us. Good breakfast included. Nice pools overlooking the sea. Turtles came up on hotel beach to lay eggs at night. Private cenote a lovely place to spend the afternoon and easy to explore the Yucatan area from this base.
The staff and the food are amazing. Jorge is always there to help or up for a chat and the food was the best we had in all Mexico – honestly! The beach is sensational and by far the most beautiful in Tulum we've seen from all the hotels – quiet and clean.
The hotel rooms were beautifully designed. The staff was friendly. Rooftop restaurant was very good. Location was great for Tulum City, 12 mins drive to the beach. The private courtyard for the room was a great touch as well.
