Although last day i saw water issues in airport, but locals/staff are quite friendly and helpful. Becoming more of a touristy place but i am glad i choose Cancun over Cuba. Amazing clubs.

The best beaches in the Caribbean, not only because of the beaches themselves which have white powdery sand and crystal clear waters where you can wade 30 feet in and the water line is at your waist. The service in general is way better than elsewhere. From the airport, cabs, hotels, service providers like boat rentals and other entertainment services. Everyone is friendly and willing to maximize your enjoyment. I have tried other destinations throughout the years but I always go back to Cancun.

I am going to stay out of Cancun for a good while.
I am going to stay out of Cancun for a good while. Cancun Airport is a big tourist trap. Unfortunately, the head of the Taxi Union is a member of their parliament, and they have banned the use and access to Uber in the arrival area. The minute you get out, you are swarmed by people trying to get you their timeshare or the taxi vendors'. Our hotel was only 15 minutes away, and they wanted $150 US dollars for the ride! You have to start bargaining; they know you are trapped since you have no choice. We bargained down to $60. They ran our credit card and said it was blocked, which was not the case. They asked for a second credit card and ran that one, too, and they said it was blocked again, which was not. They agreed to drive us to hotel and use their ATM. Whci we had no other choice.
The next day, we discovered they had captured and run our credit cards with bogus charges. We had to block and shut down two credit cards right at the beginning of our vacation. It was a horrible start. Their airport is filled with scammers approaching you with a phone, headset, and a bogus tag, pretending they work for airport services. The police are very weak, and loudmouth scammers have taken over their airport. I will not be going back to Cancun for a vacation for a long time. Their airport and scammers leave a bad taste in your mouth from the beginning of your vacation. Mexico and Cancun have many good people, but they are the ones who mostly approach the tourists, and you come across them. I will be looking for other options in my future beach trips.

Staying on the hotel strip felt very safe, beaches are stunning, gorgeous white sand and warm aquamarine water, great shopping mall with lots of restaurants everywhere half way down, the bus service is super easy to use and reliable, easy to book tours and get picked up and returned to the resort. We did a day tour to XilHa water park and Tulum ruins which was cool and another self drive boat, jungle and snorkelling tour which was tons of fun. Also, the pools and beaches are so nice that you don’t need to leave the resort to just have fun and relax.

I typically visit Cancun in late Nov. and early Dec. and the weather is ideal - not too hot (highs of about 28C), nor too humid, and mostly sunny with little rain. It is very safe, even to walk the city centre and tourist areas at night. The public bus service is very inexpensive and frequent, between the city and the Hotel Zone. There is also bus/coach service between the city and airport (CUN), which is much less expensive than private taxi. There are plenty of restaurants and shops, from basic to high-end. The local people are very friendly and courteous. There are plenty of excursions to historic places of interest (Tulum), and for families (water parks and boating activities). There is a vibrant night-life near the dog-leg of the Hotel Zone.

Cancun was just a transfer point.
Cancun was just a transfer point. There to not much to like in Cancun itself. It is expensive. The beaches are crowded and very built up. There is a lot of traffic congestion. It is easy to get out of Cancun There is a great bus system, tours, the train. I spent my vacation in Yucatan. Loved it.

See reviews by guests who stayed at hotels in Cancún
The hotel is conveniently located at 10 minutes taxi from Puerto Juarez and 20 minutes taxi from Cancun airport.
The rooms are comfortable and clean, although a bit outdated and with signs of time. Our room had quite bad lighting and a very noise air conditioning engine just outside the window.
There were some build works (well advertised) going on during our stay, so, hopefully, some improvements are on the way..
Nevertheless, a good location for the last night prior to flying back.
Staff were great, well trained. Tipping is usual in this resort and the employees are striving to please. We had a departure flight delay so weren't leaving until 3:00 and they allowed us to stay on the resort with our wrist bands which was great.Valet parking was included. Food was wonderful, entertainment was great. The only other luxury all inclusive I have been to is Sandals, but I preferred this hotel even though I typically don't prefer large resorts.
Really good facilities. Hotel is super clean and well taken care of. The staff is great, room is large and comfortable, all inclusive restaurants are good. Drinks are always available, room service works 24/7 and the location is great. Is not filled with party animals since the hotel is not super close to the city center, so its a great place to relax.
If you have an afternoon arrival at the airport and are traveling Yucatán this hotel is a great venue to stay overnight and start your holiday the next day rested and ready. Good beds, friendly staff, safe parking area and just outside of Cancun but only 6km from the airport. you don’t hear the airplanes at all by the way.
the best hotel you can find in cancunda for this price! don't look for another hotel, I've stayed in all of them 🤪
rooms have refrigerators, which is rare in Mexico
