You could see all the sights within a day. Many Christmas markets, many lights, but not enough events or activities to do as a family (with children).
Great place if you want to get drunk.
Armes aux Strasbourg was the best Alsace restaurant and Le Hache : fast service, kind staff, and amazing food.
It is not easy getting around Strasbourg if you are outside the central Island. Prepare for lots of walking.

The city centre is beautiful during Christmas period, and the crowds are well controlled. Lots of police around the Christmas markets which made us feel safe, especially as the stalls were closing and crowds were exiting. Easy to get around on foot. Be careful walking around outer areas at night as lots of homeless and be careful with belongings & bags for this same reason. Lots of places to eat ( we ate at Sakhang Asian Kitchen one night- very good) & large indoor commercial shopping centre that is well heated in winter. Easy to get to Colmar by train. We went to Cologne from strasbourg, which was easy to do by train too.

We went for the Christmas market, which is simply the best in Europe in our opinion. Good transportation, including Tram and Uber, good food and honest prices in the restaurants. The astronomical clock inside the cathedral is simply a must.

Warm welcome, super location, room.was in the attic, which was accessed by a lift. The view from the room overlooking the cathedral was stunning. The room was spacious and had a huge bathroom. It was really close to the tourist information who were also very helpful. The lighting was very good. The bells were not intrusive. Strasbourg was an amazing city, which we explored on foot. Petite France was our favourite area. We would love to return and would recommend Hotel Cathédrale
The hotel is situated very close to Strasbourg in a residential area, very near the motorway and ideal if travelling by car. The tram is just a five minute walk away and for €2.10 you can travel to the centre of Strasbourg or to the European Parliament.
We also walked along the river which takes about 20 minutes to Petit France.
Breakfast was excellent. I've never stayed at a hotel where such quality products were offered and replenished.
The hôtel is in a fabulous location with easy access to central Strasbourg, La Petite France and charming local businesses. The car parking coupons meant we could park reasonably cheaply near the hotel. If you were arriving by train, this would be even better because the hotel is just up the street from the central station. The room facilities were nice and the bed was comfortable and warm. We did not try the breakfast but it looked good.
The hotel room was clean, modern, and comfortable. The staff were kind and helpful. The room was equipped with all the necessary elements for a comfortable stay. The location was very close to Strasbourg Convention Centre and also the city centre was easily accessible by tram and bus within 20 min.
You know what you get with Ibis. it’s a perfectly fine hotel with decent accommodation. This Ibis, furthermore, has a good location next to Petite France, fhe picturesque area of Strasbourg, and close to the city centre.
