I have a love - hate relationship with Paris.
I have a love - hate relationship with Paris. From one side the city is incredible. Tons of museums, monuments, food, culture and all of that completely walkable. From the other side the city is incredibly dirty and does not feel safe. The public transport is also quite mental if I compare it with Prague. The metro is slow, the ticketing is confusing and it's notorious for pickpockets. But it absolutely is a must see city. If you can keep your head pointing upwards it is incredibly romantic, the Eiffel tower watches over the city, the Louvre is gigantic, the Arc de Triomphe watches over the most famous shopping street in the world and all of that is happening while you're walking around very pretty vintage buildings. Watch out for thiefs and get your flights.

Paris is a wonderful city to explore.
Paris is a wonderful city to explore. It’s important to get off the tourist route, get a little lost, follow your nose and discover places by walking around.
You’ll need to walk off the extra weight from the gorgeous cakes, hot chocolate and vin chaud!

Our stay was very short and although the weather was rainy and overcast it did not stop us from using the excellent bus and train services to get around few of the attraction that Paris has to offer. Hope to return during better time of the year, stay longer and explore and enjoy even more of Paris.

Dirty, full of immigrants doing shady stuff.
Dirty, full of immigrants doing shady stuff. Not a very safe feeling while being there. Tourists taking photos everywhere you can barely walk, and whatever you want to see you will most definitely end up in someone else photo. I will not even talk about queues for tourist attractions cause even with ticket and reservation you will still have to wait a long time, meanwhile a lot of people try to jump the queue. It was incredibly disappointing. It proved that the West is becoming the Wild West.

Very cheap Hotel. You get what you pay for. The staff were nice. The room was alright. The bed was good, the bedding was old but clean. We had a sink and wardrobe in the room. There was a view of Paris. Windows were big enough. Lights were bright enough for the whole room. It wasn't too noisy. We stayed on the fourth floor. Like I said, everything is justifiable. For tourists, this may be too shocking. For people used to living in Paris, it is what it is.
Great location, it's near convenience stores, pharmacies, there's even a cinema very close by (if you want to try that out), lots of dining options right outside the hotel. There is great WiFi in the rooms.
It was a small room, but it was warm, clean and comfortable. We only used it to shower and sleep. Not the best looking place, but it was very cheap. The staff were very nice and kind. Would recommend it to people on a budget.
This is one of the best hotels in Paris ... a legend with a massive history. I have stayed a number of times. Every room is unique. Photos of former guests in each room. Last time: Iggy Pop! This time: Jack Nicholson pictured on the night of the World Cup Final 1998. France 3, Brazil 0. Jack wearing the tricolore on his cheek. Red, white, blue...I love you!
We had a nice and quiet room on 4th floor. Staff was available 24h and the location of the hotel is amazing! Public parking is on the same street and cost 16$ per day which is very cheap for Paris. All area seems to be really safe! We can definitely recommend this hotel!
Great location for our needs - road trip from south of France back to England and used as a stopover hotel in Paris for one night. Easy to get to by car and quick to get out of Paris. Cheap but good option for us and our children.
