Create

Easter eggs

Image of someone painting an egg for Easter. There is a basket of eggs, some on the table and their hands have paint on them.

For Christians, eggs represent new life. Easter eggs are used as a symbol for the resurrection of Jesus. Lots of people enjoy eating chocolate eggs and taking part in Easter egg hunts at this time of year.

Activity:

Paint a hard boiled egg to create your own Easter decorations.

You can use different designs, pens and even glitter and paper to make it shine.

Make sure you have an adult to help you.

Challenge: Writing a story

When the seasons change, we notice lots of things happening in nature.

Write a story about the end of Winter and the start of Spring.

Story starter:

Spring hasn't shown up in the forest and it is stuck in Winter. The woodland animals must got and find out why!

Think about:

  • What does the forest look like in Winter and Spring? What are the main differences?
  • Who are your characters? Which animals are you likely to find in a woodland?
  • What happens to your characters? Do they go on an epic adventure to find Spring?
