Toledo is a city in and the county seat of Lucas County, Ohio, United States. A major Midwestern United States port city, Toledo is the fourth-most-populous city in the U.S. state of Ohio, after Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati, and according to the 2020 census, the 79th-largest city in the United States. With a population of 270,871 it is the principal city of the Toledo metropolitan area. It also serves as a major trade center for the Midwest; its port is the fifth busiest in the Great Lakes and 54th biggest in the United States. The city was founded in 1833 on the west bank of the Maumee River, and originally incorporated as part of Monroe County, Michigan Territory. It was re-founded in 1837, after the conclusion of the Toledo War, when it was incorporated in Ohio.
Erie Township is a civil township of Monroe County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 4,517 at the 2010 census. Sharing a southern border with the city of Toledo about 35 miles (56.3 km) south of the city of Detroit, the township is one of the southernmost areas included in the Detroit–Warren–Ann Arbor Combined Statistical Area.
Maumee is a city in Lucas County, Ohio, United States. Located along the Maumee River, it is about 10 miles southwest of Toledo. The population was 14,286 at the 2010 census. Maumee was declared an All-America City by the National Civic League in June 2006.

Collinwood is a historical area on the Northeast Side of Cleveland, Ohio. Originally a village in Euclid Township, it was annexed by the city in 1910. Collinwood grew around the rail yards of the Lake Shore and Michigan Southern Railway and is divided by these same tracks into the neighborhoods of North Shore Collinwood and Collinwood–Nottingham. Mercy College of Ohio is a Catholic college focused on the health sciences and located in Toledo and Youngstown, Ohio. It was founded as the Mercy School of Nursing in 1917 by the Sisters of Mercy. The name was changed in August 2011 from Mercy College of Northwest Ohio to its current name. The Robert Craig Memorial Bridge is a four-lane, double-leaf bascule bridge that spans the Maumee River approximately one mile downstream from downtown Toledo, Ohio. The bridge is named in memory of U.S. Army Second Lieutenant Robert Craig, a Scottish-born Toledoan who posthumously received the Medal of Honor during the Second World War.
