Anthony Joseph "Tony" Celebrezze Jr. was an American politician of the Democratic party, who served as Ohio Attorney General, Ohio Secretary of State and an Ohio State Senator. He was the son of Anthony J. Celebrezze, and part of the Celebrezze political dynasty, which was prominent in Cleveland in particular and statewide in Ohio throughout the second half of the 20th century and early 2000s.

James Patrick Celebrezze was an American politician and jurist of the Ohio Democratic party, who served as a judge of the Cuyahoga County, Ohio, common pleas court. His daughter, Leslie Celebrezze, was elected to fill his seat after his retirement.

Michael J. Skindell is the state representative for the 13th district of the Ohio House of Representatives after previously serving there from 2003 to 2010. He also previously served as the state senator for the 23rd district of the Ohio Senate from 2011 to 2018. He is a Democrat.

They are considered a political dynasty, as three generations have held various forms of office on the federal, state, and local levels, encompassing all three branches of government.

David Anthony Yost is an American politician and lawyer who currently serves as the 51st Attorney General of Ohio. A member of the Republican Party, Yost previously served as Ohio State Auditor.

David Patrick Joyce is an American politician and attorney currently serving in the United States House of Representatives for Ohio's 14th congressional district since 2013. A member of the Republican Party, Joyce was previously the prosecutor of Geauga County, Ohio.

John M. Rogers is a former Democratic member of the Ohio House of Representatives, representing the 60th District which includes the Lake County communities of Eastlake, Fairport Harbor, Grand River, Lakeline, Mentor-on-the-Lake, Painesville, Timberlake, Wickliffe, Willoughby, Willowick, as well as parts of both Mentor and Painesville Township. He was first elected in 2012.

Jackson won reelection to a fourth term.

Incumbent Republican governor Mike DeWine won re-election to a second term in a landslide, defeating Democratic nominee Nan Whaley, the former mayor of Dayton, with 62.4% of the vote. DeWine's 25-point victory marked the continuation of a trend in which every incumbent Republican governor of Ohio since 1994 has won re-election by a double-digit margin.

David Yost was re-elected to a second term in a landslide, defeating Democratic opponent Jeffrey Crossman by a comfortable 20 percentage points. The election coincided with various other federal and state elections, including that for governor of Ohio.

The 2014 Cuyahoga County executive election took place on November 4, 2014, to elect the County Executive of Cuyahoga County, Ohio. Incumbent Democratic County Executive Ed FitzGerald was eligible to run for reelection, but instead retired in order to run unsuccessfully for governor in the concurrent gubernatorial election.

The 2024 Ohio House of Representatives election was held on November 5, 2024, to elect representatives in all 99 districts of the Ohio House of Representatives. Members were elected in single-member constituencies to two-year terms. These elections were held concurrently with various federal and state elections, including for U.S. President, U.S. Senate, and the Ohio Senate. This election was held under different districts than the 2022 Ohio House of Representatives election because in September of 2023, the Ohio Redistricting Commission approved a new set of maps for both chambers of the Ohio General Assembly. Unlike the 5 previous district maps adopted by the redistricting commission, the newest map was upheld by the Ohio Supreme Court in November 2023, allowing it to go into effect from the 2024 election through the 2030 election.
