College of Engineering Trikaripur is a government self-financing [1] engineering college located in north Kerala. It was established in 2000 under the auspices of the Co-operative Academy of Professional Education (CAPE), an autonomous society under the Government of Kerala. [2] The college is affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. [1] The admissions are as per the list forwarded by the Controller of Entrance Examinations, Kerala and functioning of the college is as per the rules and regulations formulated by the Government of Kerala and CAPE. The Thangal Kunju Musaliar College of Engineering, commonly known as TKMCE, is the first government aided engineering institution in the Indian state of Kerala. It is located in the Karikode neighborhood, 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) from the city of Kollam in southern Kerala. The college was affiliated to Kerala University till 2014 before joining the then newly formed APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University.

The Government College of Engineering, Kannur (GCEK) is a state-sponsored engineering college affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Kerala, India. The college was started in October 1986, as a center for imparting engineering education in northern Kerala. It began in the Town High School, Kannur Campus. MES College of Engineering (MESCE) is a private engineering college in Kuttippuram, Malappuram. It is the first established engineering college under the self financing sector in Kerala, an urban campus that extends more than a mile (1.6 km) alongside the Bharathappuzha. It was established as an institution with minority status in 1994. APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, also known as Kerala Technological University (KTU), is a state university located in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. It is both a teaching and affiliation university, with more than 150 affiliated colleges and over 1,60,000 students enrolled, having jurisdiction over the entire area of Kerala.
