  • Delete per nom. Not mentioned at target, so no point in keeping. The proposed target above does mention Kerotan multiple times, but it does not mention a Kerotan MGS3, and it would be confusing to retarget there. CycloneYoris talk! 00:45, 12 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

NoCopyrightSound has no incoming links. Are you saying that the presence of this redirect will make external websites start linking to the singular than the plural? Jay 💬 09:41, 5 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
When you type "NoCopyrightSound" into the Search box the results, in order, are NoCopyrightSound and NoCopyrightSounds. This is clutter. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 10:44, 5 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
But isn't this true for every {{R from singular}} redirect? And I think by search efforts for NCS, the nom is referring to search for NoCopyrightSounds, not the singular. Jay 💬 15:06, 6 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Keep as unclear nomination, and not per PizzaPlayer, since NoCopyrightSounds is a name which is in the plural, the singular does not make sense. Jay 💬 07:39, 11 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Presidentman: Hi! Thanks for the ping. I originally wanted to tag the redirect for a speedy delete for a move, I'm the original creator of the redirect. I want to move the 2014–2018 Nicaraguan protests into the redirect; in other words, renaming the former into Protests against Daniel Ortega. --NoonIcarus (talk) 21:22, 4 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Pizzaplayer219: I started the RFD by mistake. As I expressed in the tag and the comment, the reason to delete the redirect is to allow a rename of the 2014–2018 Nicaraguan protests article. --NoonIcarus (talk) 21:38, 4 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Since it fails WP:G3, which is a hoax, I decided to start a discussion for deletion per WP:CRYSTALBALL and WP:OR. Take note: There is no Yamaneko in the Western Pacific. HurricaneEdgar 15:54, 4 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Support per WP:CRYSTALBALL. The system hasn't developed; why would an article be there in advance? Sarrail (talk) 16:02, 4 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Support this system should only be a draft for when it develops., and causing significant impacts for an article. PopularGames (talk) 16:50, 4 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Support per WP:CRYSTALBALL and Wikipedia:Notability (weather). Creating this draft article was premature. Drdpw (talk) 23:56, 4 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Support this system doesn't even exist yet. There is no reason for an article to exist on a non-existing storm. Hurricane Chandler (talk) 23:43, 8 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It's not an article; it's a draft. Steel1943 (talk) 07:17, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Support per Hurricane Chandler and Drdpw Hurricane Su (talk) 20:46, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'm trying to avoid WP:BLUDGEON here, but it seems a point needs to be restated to every participant here stating "Support" since they are not familiar with how voting at RFD works and are probably more familiar with WP:AFD: This redirect was a draft, not an article. See WP:DRAFT. Steel1943 (talk) 04:32, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
And that is precisely why I supported keeping the draft, since it might end up being useful. This draft should definitely be kept now that Yamaneko has formed. CycloneYoris talk! 20:39, 12 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

A piece of history here, but not a useful one. This is an essentially never linked to and rarely used by pageviews XNR using the CAT: pseudo prefix. While there are some XNRs with the CAT: pseudo-prefix that are considered to be useful due to how popular said categories are like CAT:PROD or CAT:PEND, but it seems that this is pretty specific for an XNR. The article Temple fade (hairstyle) does not mention being known as "Temp" * Pppery * it has begun... 02:59, 29 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Does it have to? It's clear how the abbreviation relates to the full title. I don't think anyone being redirected would be confused by it, so it's not necessary in this case. If you search the term off-site, all the results are about the temple fade. If you really think an explicit mention is needed, it would be easy to add one, but the "also known as" in the lead is already fairly long. – Scyrme (talk) 13:00, 29 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
If it doesn't mention, then you can tag {{R without mention}} but Temp (hairstyle) cannot be added to Temp (disambiguation) unless it's mentioned. AngusW🐶🐶F (barksniff) 15:59, 4 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Multiple TV stations, channels or networks were/are owned by Southern Cross Austereo or one of their predecessors and is/were an affiliate of the Nine Network. The current target article is owned by Nine Entertainment since 2013. Southern Cross Nine used to target to 10 (Southern Cross Austereo) also owned by Southern Cross Austereo, a former Nine affiliate since 2021, until earlier this year I retargeted that redirect to the same target of this redirect (Southern Cross 9), NWS (TV station). GDS/BDN, a TV station broadcasting in the Spencer Gulf and Broken Hill areas, was the only Nine Network affiliate owned by Southern Cross Austereo before the 2016 affiliation swap when most of the Network 10 affiliates owned by Southern Cross Austereo switched to the Nine Network except NRN and SGS/SCN. The switch was reversed in July 2021 and GDS/BDN has been reverted to being the only Nine Network affiliate owned by Southern Cross Austereo. This is my reason to let someone make this redirect into a disambiguation page featuring NWS (TV station), 10 (Southern Cross Austereo) and GDS/BDN. Bassie f (talk) 06:26, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I put a notice on Talk:10 (Southern Cross Austereo) about this discussion because one of the redirects in this discussion (Southern Cross Nine) previously targeted to 10 (Southern Cross Austereo). Bassie f (talk) 20:44, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was retarget to WCAT. Jay 💬 07:21, 11 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ambiguous title — this redirect seems to exist because the first station to broadcast from the school that owns KTEQ-FM had the WCAT call sign (even though there was a 20-year gap between that station's demise and the start of the first incarnation of KTEQ). However, a WCAT (AM) operated in Vermont until this past week, and the Massachusetts station now known as WPVQ (AM) long had the WCAT call sign for most of its first 50 years. If I had run into this before the Vermont station shut down I might have simply boldly redirected, but it's a bit of a stickier situation now. WCQuidditch 05:22, 4 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If there are multiple operators that use or previously used this callsign then it seems like disambiguation is in order. Thryduulf (talk) 12:51, 4 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Somewhat reluctant delete per nom. We do have Elienor Werner, and that name is a French variant of Eleanor, but I'm not sure this'll be a plausible search term because 1) I don't think we have other Elienors with Wikipedia articles and 2) Werner doesn't seem to be mononymously known by her first name. Until we can find enough notable people with that name, this redirect will just have to go. Regards, SONIC678 02:04, 28 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Eleanor as an attested non-fictional variant of that name. — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 06:31, 30 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
But it's not mentioned or described at that target. Perhaps this could be added to the variants section? The variant Ellienor is mentioned at Ellie, but is not a redirect. Mdewman6 (talk) 19:21, 1 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was no consensus / retarget to Maritime history. Not enough consensus to justify deletion. But there is some agreement among participants to retarget this somewhere, and this was the only target that was suggested more than once. (non-admin closure) CycloneYoris talk! 00:36, 12 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not finding any evidence that the redirect exclusively refers to its target. For the most part, there have been several discoveries in the sea that are not directly related to the target subject. Unless there is evidence that the target subject is officially named as the redirect as an alternative title, the redirect probably be deleted to allow search results to be more helpful than this pigeonholing connection. Steel1943 (talk) 20:51, 20 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
