Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Dhaliwal, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Moga (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). The article Wyne has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Is it?? no evidence provided

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Information icon Hello, I'm PamD. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Wyne without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry: I restored the removed content. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! You removed a useful navigational hatnote, and a maintenance template which pointed out that the article has no references. Do not remove the hatnote, and do not remove the template until the article has references. Thanks. PamD 15:32, 13 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Cut and Paste Move

[edit]

Hi, Delljvc. Please note that our Wikipedia copyright policy does not allow copy-pasting text without attribution. The history of an article and the editors' contributions need to be attributed. Therefore, pages need to be moved rather than blanked/copypasted elsewhere. Because your cut and paste of Sir Syed College to Sir Syed College (Taliparamba) was improper, it was necessary for me to revert your actions. I went ahead and moved the page per standard policy. I then created the disambiguation page. Also note that moving the pages keeps any talk page comments with the article -- blanking of comments as you did at Talk:Sir Syed College (Taliparamba) should never be done, so I have restored those. It would be a good idea if you reviewed the procedures for Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia before doing so again. Thanks. CactusWriter (talk) 15:45, 16 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Asmatullah Khan has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. scope_creep 00:27, 2 July 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Jamiat Ulama-e-Islam Nazryati

[edit]

Hello Delljvc,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Jamiat Ulama-e-Islam Nazryati for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. scope_creep 00:28, 2 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hello Delljvc, Every article needs several 3rd party independent references to assert it's notability. I think you'll need more. The reason I raised it, is that the article fails WP:ORG and specifically Wikipedia:Notability (political parties) notability guidelines. It is a wee minor political party, barely off the ground. scope_creep (talk) 17:18, 5 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Kamboj

[edit]

Why did you remove the category from Kamboj just now? - Sitush (talk) 13:09, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Kamboj are considered :Category:Social groups of Pakistan and not :Category:Ethnic groups in Pakistan. They are considered part of Punjabi people ethnic group. Delljvc (talk) 13:13, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure what your source is for that but in any event please could you take a read of WP:Overcategorisation before adding Category:Social groups of Pakistan to any more articles? I reckon well over 90% of your category additions today have been wrong and it is going to take a long time to clean it up. - Sitush (talk) 20:13, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries

[edit]

Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field – please fill in your new section's name instead. Regarding your new article on Napier Mole Bridge...

[edit]

Hello there, it's such a pleasure to meet you. Thank you for your contribution on Napier Mole Bridge; I highly appreciate your enthusiasm to help the encyclopedia grow. However, we have guidelines on notability, and ask that you please cite reliable sources to back up your information. Thank you for your understanding, and again, I appreciate your contribution. I hope that you continue to create new articles. EmilyREditor (talk) 05:43, 18 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Bodha Island City requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.thenews.com.pk/Todays-News-13-21516-Big-US-investor-Kramer-signs-Rs15-20-bn-deal-with-Bahria-Town-today. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. This is particularly relevant when linking to sites such as YouTube, where due care should be taken to avoid linking to material that violates its creator's copyright. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you believe the linked site is not violating copyright with respect to the material, then you should do one of the following:

  • If the linked site is the copyright holder, leave a message explaining the details on the article Talk page;
  • If a note on the linked site credibly claims permission to host the material, or a note on the copyright holder's site grants such permission, leave a note on the article Talk page with a link to where we can find that note;
  • If you are the copyright holder or the external site administrator, adjust the linked site to indicate permission as above and leave a note on the article Talk page;

If the material is available on a different site that satisfies one of the above conditions, link to that site instead. Newspaper articles are in copyright and that was not on the newspaper's site Dougweller (talk) 04:59, 26 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Bhit Island, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Baba and Bhit Islands. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

The article Mirza Ali (mountaineer) has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references.

If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. – S. If you have issues with my revert, please open a discussion on the talk page. Kautilya3 (talk) 09:41, 24 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I have reverted your latest edit on the article because A) the figure is not supported by the reference in the article, and B) the new figure is just a guesstimate by the US Census Bureau, with no information about what it's based on. You can not add new figures without also providing a new reliable and verifiable source for the new figure, so consider yourself warned, and don't do it again. I'm also tempted to remove your edits in the "Yearly population increase" subsection since all of that is also just guesstimates, but I'll leave it, at least for the time being. A tag has been placed on Women’s Action Forum requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

Speedy deletion nomination of Good Morning Pakistan

[edit]

Hello Delljvc,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Good Morning Pakistan for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Liz Read!
